I’m a noob here Myself but welcome!!
Hi All,
This is my first post on TZ but I’ve been on TRF for a little while. Looking forward to following interesting threads and picking up gems of knowledge and advice from you guys.
I’m in London and my current collection is around ten watches new and old of Omega, Grand Seiko and Rolex but looking to sell or swap some of the Omegas and GS for more Rolex! I know the GS have better finishing and the Omegas have better tech but I’m getting hooked on the long history and stability of the Rolex line up (and the great people on the forums).
Regards,
Duncan

Hello and welcome. It sounds like you are well into your journey and with that collection already you should fit in well.
Welcome. Lovely LV. If only I had the guts to put my green bezel insert back in.....
Thanks! I was thinking about putting a black insert on the LV for a while, partly for a change but mostly just to have a go at changing it.

Does anyone know where I can get a tool like the one this guy uses to prize off the bezel?

Welcome to the forum.... and good luck with that mod, you are a braver man than I :S
Welcome, what other pieces do you have in your collection?
Good morning. Beware
F.T.F.A.
Used my Breitling posh penknife to pop off the bezel (protected the case with masking tape) then used mine, my wife's and my daughters keen eyesight to find the spring and followed the on line instructions. Went well but always that slight what if feeling.

Welcome to the forum . That's a great looking Rolex , very nice indeed .
Thanks MalaMD!
I’m looking to whittle it down a bit by selling or px a few but currently..
Omegas
Just sold a Planet Ocean and Planet Ocean Chronograph. Still got the Speedy Pro (hesalite), Speedy Mk II, Hour Vision and a vintage Seamaster DeVille. Also had the Spectre SM300 Bond watch a while back but used it as px for the LV. Oh and a ‘68 Chronostop too that I’d like to find a mesh bracelet and Omega deployant clasp for (18mm lugs) which is proving difficult. Got on the list for the Speedy Tuesday 2 too but ended up cancelling it.
Grand Seiko
Snowflake
Sunburst Chronograph
Peacock GMT HiBeat
Rolex
16610 LV
116710 BLNR
116400GV
Wishlist
(Very much..) A post 2002 16710 GMT-II with all three bezels.
Later on a 10460M no date sub
Maybe an old basic OP/DJ and/or AirKing.

Most charities or carboots have such tools.
Failing that your moms favourite butter knife might work

Hello and welcome to the forum! Would be great to see all your watches together
Welcome to the madness. You have a Lovely collection so far.
This is what I used, albeit a standard cutlery knife. It slipped on the bezel I was getting off, and sliced straight through my thumb. A squirt of blood went into the air, and I can see it now in my minds eye... I felt faint.Originally Posted by Failing that your moms favourite butter knife might work [emoji23
I rushed to the bathroom and stuck it under the cold tap. It just wouldn't stop bleeding; so I put multiple plasters on it and eventually stemmed the flow. The knife wasn't particularly sharp, but if I ever had the guts to do it again, I would wrap the knife in cello tape first.
The watch was fine, and after suffering that, I was determined to see it through. Gently prizing out the green insert, and placing in the black one, being mindful not to put too much pressure on the area with the luminous dot was. Another tip is to take off the bezel inside a plastic/paper bag, because if the bezel pops off, the tiny spring might jump out as well, and try finding that on a hard floor or carpet!
But I don't think I'd be brave enough to go through it again, especially as these have increased so much in value. It will remain black until I find a watch technician who can do it properly.
Nice collection, may I ask why you sold the PO's?
No single reason really, nice watches and served me well but I guess I didn’t wear the PO that often and found the combined hour and minute hands on the PoC difficult to read accurately (although easier to read roughly at a glance), a deadbeat minute totaliser or thinner hands might’ve helped.
Prefer a tapered bracelet now since trying one too.
Also need to free up some cash

Welcome to the forum, great collection. If you enjoy Rolex, you're in the right place. There's always civil discussions going on here about them. And when you've been here long enough you'll see them popping up in the sales corner quite regularly. BTW, Rolex sales threads are always a haven of civility and good feeling.
I jest of course. Most Rolex threads are great and entirely civil. Some however are like a klaxon for mentals.
Welcome!
That is a collection to be proud of !!!!!! Thanks for showing it
Welcome Duncan, nice Kermit.
A handsome collection you have there.
Welcome.
