Can I wear my watch whilst Bashing the Bishop?

I have just joined a local chess club and am concerned that the combined risk of pint glasses of whisky near the boards and projectile chess pieces being hurled by losing members may present a risk to my Tudor Pelagos, any reassurance from those with related experiences would be appreciated.

    Many thanks.

I gave Justin Welby a right going over back in the day and my G-Shock was absolutely fine afterwards.

    Cheers,

I often play the Bishops Opening to gasps from the audience, but would highly recommend a watch with good wr if going for the Dutch Defense.

Lost mine on a board I made, with a Mikado chess set I made in 1980. Way before many on here were even twinkles in their dads eyes.
    But I’m not Old.

If you wear it on your left wrist you’ll be fine bashing the bishop with your right.

If you’re one of those weirdos who is right-handed but wears a watch on the right wrist then I would move those chess pieces very gently...

If i remember correctly the Pelagos is only dishwashing and puddle walking certified.

Apologies for my double post - must have been the excitement whilst the bishop was groaning for more

If I see him at work tomorrow I'll ask him for his opinion on the matter. Failing that, his wife is normally out with the dogs.

Our Parish Council meetings can get quite raucous, which sometimes involves bashing the Bishop (though not while he's present of course). I've never had a problem with even my dressiest and least waterproof/shockproof of my watches whilst conducting this activity.

I recently read in the news that your chess club is about to be closed due to a horrible case of animal brutality.

Several senior members were seen spanking the monkey.

I'd recommend wearing the appropriate branded handling glove.
