So it seems Watches of Knightsbridge are having a bit of a massive watch auction.

Some lovely watches in there.
A few dogs too though.
I might pop in for a viewing .Anyone know the form . Can i just up turn up, i guess no touching..
Wow!!
Some lovely pieces there, & I noticed the Excelsior Park chrono', very similar to one that was sold here on TZ SC 3 or 4, maybe five years ago!
Loved the Breitling offerings.
Thanks for the link.
Many of those price estimates seem a few years out of date... or is that just a tactic by the auction house to get the punters in the door?
Polloi chronotastic .This booklet on vintage get you ....
Some properly nice watches in there. Would definitely be the end of any savings i might have should I attend.
It’s been a couple of years since I went to view watches at WOK prior to an auction, but I did just show up and asked to see watches and they were very obliging. The ones I was interested in were not in the best shape, but they had others that were. They also have an app that you can download the brochure in and read offline. They do around 3-4 auctions per year
Stupid question ...is the buyers premium included in the guide price ?

You can just turn up and supervised touching is possible. They’ve moved offices so viewing will be in a new location for the November auction. I usually pitch up at Friday lunchtime.

No, it doesn’t. Guide is the range where they believe the hammer will fall.
Sellers get hammer less 15%, buyers pay hammer plus 23-24%.

Estimates mean very little unless the item is listed as something completely wrong. If the description is right it’ll go for its value (or way above in auctions for some reason)
I’ve seen a few times (even on here) people post links to auctions with low guide prices and starting prices saying “this is cheap”. More likely to gain interest in my opinion and by proxy go for more than it would with a high estimate.
Thanks for posting. I assume most pieces will go for over the guide price though!
Hi all 👋🏼 just browsing through the catalogue and as much as there's some lovely pieces on there... The estimates are priced very low especially considering the notoriety of the company and its City location.
Thanks for sharing.
Some lovely pieces in there!
Thanks from me too - what a catalogue! Some of those vintage Omegas are lovely
No mention of the relumed dial on the GMT lot 255
Are you sure you aren't getting confused with another company when you speak about their notoriety and their City location? They're based in the West End.[/QUOTE]
Notoriety but not in a bad way and City Location = London ie where cash is King
How many of us wish we’d bought some of these a few years ago!
Love the lume colour
Interesting Breitling’s
Lot 236 looks interesting and wonder what 244 would fetch
Great catalogue, thanks for posting - I'd love to get hold of a printed copy. I expect the interesting ones with temptingly low estimates will go for a fair bit more though.
PS - just noticed they have an app for viewing this and previous catalogues on tablets / phones: https://watchesofknightsbridge.com/auction-calendar/

I subscribe for the Catalogue and it’s well worth the money. In fact I think it’s cheap !
