Thread: Is there a Seiko Mods thread at all?

Is there a Seiko Mods thread at all?

Not the thread for scooter riding, Paul Weller-haircutted Japanese watch fans - one for Seikos that have been personalised a bit.

Can’t find anything definitive when trawling through older ones, so to speak....

(If not, I’m going to start one. I bloody am, I tell you.)

Nah, there’s only about 8 and a half people who look in there. I love it, feels nicely exclusive - and there’s some mad technical banter that goes on, but I’m going for mass appeal.

OK - as someone’s kicked it off already, this is that new thread then!
Simple Turtle mod - ceramic bezel, superoyster bracelet, coin-edge bezel...

    Dagaz dial

Under the bezel guard it's a 6309 with a 6105 dial and hand set.

Already posted in the Mods & Wreckers thread. I call it the SKX Steel.
Lots of changes including a 6R15 engine.
I've a 6.5" wrist and wanted a kind of vintage turtle look in a smaller SKX case.

Great thread. I posted about an explorer-style mod before, and my thoughts on it, here...

    Two STO's and a PADI.

PADI: Domed Crystaltimes sapphire with blue A/R coating.. Signed Seiko crown. Crystaltimes matt steel coin edge bezel.

Save The Ocean's: Both have a Crystaltimes polished steel coin edge bezel and steel crown. Both have domed sapphires with blue A/R coating. One is a Crystaltimes and the other a Dagaz, with both giving a slightly different look.

Another one carried out by Tunokies. Hacking movement for work and lumed bezel insert. The orange chapter ring really gives it depth in the flesh.

SKX steel is a great mod.... lovely. I’m well impressed with the versatility of Seiko, could definitely fall into the mods trap....

I think you're already well on your way with the aftermarket bezel insert going on your lovely sunburst dial turtle.

This, just pulled it together now. Terrible pic but Strapcode oyster, ceramic batman bezel insert

Actually have a couple of options - would appreciate opinions on the following: Bezel insert is only resting on, as is strap for some shots - just to get the idea....

One of my favourites, started life as a SRP "Turtle", all OEM parts.
