Mediocre voice, nothing special
I heard on the radio this morning he was so prolific that a box set of his contained 60 CDs and yet we all only seem to know one song; and for me at least that was known from the Elvis Costello cover - I guess most of his work cant have been in English.

He wrote and sang a song with a clever play on English and French, it's worth a listen. His career spanned 80 years!
