Did you ever try the Z33? Might fit in with the case shapes you like? I actually prefer the display on the Z33 as it looks like it is always on somehow. M
I've sold a few watches of late and picked up three I've wanted for a long time. Gone:
Heuer Montreal:
Montreal/Albatross:
Skindiver:
Electroquartz:
Stardust:
Seamaster:
And my half of a PloProf I bought with a friend (gutted about this one!):
And the incomings? All from TZ. I'd tried to trade into the GS a few times as it's been passed around the forum but failed, a speculative PM to the latest owner worked! I've wanted an X33 Skywalker since Ryan let me try his what must have been four or five years ago at a Christmas GTG and having expressed an interest in this one earlier in the summer after a TZ GTG, when it came up for sale I found the money to pick it up. The Flighty was from a WTB I put up months ago but I'd turned it down because the case needs refinishing (it has its original radial finish just sadly underneath someone's attempts to add a starburst finish). I contacted the owner again a couple of weeks ago after Simon Freese put a radial finish on my 1000M that looks great (somehow less 'blingy' than a lapped starburst finish, if that makes sense) and I realised I was unlikely to find an original and unmolested 911. It's a lovely watch and off to see Simon this week for service and refinish.
All three are fantastic and I'm indebted to all three TZers who sold them to me!
Now to find an unmolested PloProf - anyone have a forgotten project watch in a drawer? And then maybe a 910 Flighty. And perhaps a 911 with the different dial. And then...

Three watches on my list to own, lovely collection there. The GS is particularly nice.
The flighty is very nice Foxy I would have kept that Heuer Montreal though. Enjoy your new watches!
I see what you mean and I did try one a while ago but I just don't like the design. I'm sure as a practical pilot's watch it's ideal but I much prefer the space watch.

Thanks! I still have my blue Montreal I bought on behalf of my wife for our wedding.

Must of been tough parting with some of those!
Yes but also no. The Stardust was almost too mint (and I have a Marine Chronometer, for now), I didn't really wear it or the other quartz Omegas (just the MC, mostly). The X33 essentially replaces all of them, I wanted a quartz, it's titanium (something I didn't have), is waterproof, accurate, has lume that works and a backlight that almost blinds you at night, alarms and a countdown timer, rotating bezel, piles of stuff. And it's a space watch, which I reckon is rather cool.
I have a blue Heuer Montreal and some Autavias I tend to choose before I choose that. I also have Seamaster Big Blue and 1000M which get worn before the square Seamaster here.
Ultimately I have too many watches and lots of duplicates. Even now I've trimmed out a few watches I still have watches I don't wear, I think a few more will hit the block in the near future and then some spare parts.
