    Submariner available in Italy

    Hi Guys,

Posted this in Rolex forums but I’m on honeymoon in the north of Italy and one of the ADs has a submariner date and non-date (1 each) available to buy. Also they have the Deepsea but it seems Deepsea is not that desirable (not JC).

If anyone wants to know where drop me a message. I know the subs have a list in most stores in the UK so to walk into an AD and get offered both was a surprise.

Hope I can help someone get a watch they want for retail rather than pay crazy resell.

    Thanks

It is 6900 Euros for non-date and 7900 for date version which are more expensive compared to the UK if you convert the prices at the current rate.

My Speedmaster ‘57 Co-axial was bought on the grey market. It came from Italy and had the swing tags on it and was priced at €7,400 which worked out at a little over £6,500. The UK RRP was £6,000. I paid £4,750 with all stickers, papers box, guarantee etc. How can they do that?

Italy is a big watch market, people like nice watches, so a fair few dealers. I guess as the economy hasn’t been so strong over the past few years the dealers need to shift units elsewhere and that’s to places like uk. Most of my grey buys have also been from Italy.
