    Afternoon all

Realised I had started posting and asking questions without saying hello, so...

Thanks for maintaining this really useful resource to which I'll try and contribute. Likely that I'll be more helpful for any members with cycling questions though frankly. Let me illuminate this post with reference / pictures of my 'collection':

No. 1: A Navitimer Premier which I am having serviced prior to potentially getting rid of. Pictures to follow when I get it back.

No. 2: A Muhle GMT which, erm, is being repaired under warranty and consequently have no pictures of.

No. 3: Something with a picture! An SRP773 on Steveostraps canvas, bought this year and quite fond of it.

No. 4: Currently in planning stages but potentially a Farer or an Unimatic or...?

My Muhle got returned to me today after needing some hand re-alignment shortly after I bought it (somehow it took me a few weeks to notice). A Terrasport IV GMT which has a lovely clarity to it (I think).

My Breitling Premier is on its way back to me also so hopefully soon I can update the thread with a pic of that too.

    Welcome.

Is there such a thing as a cycling watch? (as opposed to diver, climber, spy etc).

I don’t see one in your collection that would fit the bill.

There are. Not for me, personally, but companies like Garmin make cycling / running / swimming computers that can be worn on the wrist. I think the cycle mounted ones are more useful for that particular activity.

And finally, at least for now.

My Breitling has returned from Brendan who has done a wonderful job on it (keeps great time and beautifully finished). Thanks for the recommendation and thanks Brendan.

This is a fairly unusually styled Breitling; I think the original model / design is from the 50s or around that time, but this run of 5000 dates from 1998 and 1999. It's a smaller and more elegant watch than is usual from Breitling in the modern era.

I really like that! Do you have the reference number?

Breitling now sold, hopefully to someone that appreciates it. And in the meantime a couple more watches have showed up.

A Vostok with Ministry case, which has just had a Seiko bezel added.

    And a Farer Hecla.

Next up: A fully lumed Batman bezel to brighten up my SRP773

That Vostok looks far better with the Seiko bezel.
And the Farer looks like it has awesome lume!
Congrats on the additions to the collection

Cheers both. Yes, the Vostok was just too shiny, the bezel has dulled it down nicely.

The Farer has good lume but Seiko is king.
