    Omega trilogy

Is anyone after a Trilogy? I thought they had all sold out but this one is at list £20,500. It is in Ogden's in Harrogate.

Is that the list price? Each watch costs around £5300 purchased IIRC. That seems a lot of cash to have the same number on each watch.
I love the set, just not the price.

Yes that is the list of the trilogy set. No it isn't worth it.

It’s a struggle to think of worst ways to spend 20k. And I say that as a big omega fan.

Amazingly my partner thought it was a good price but, yes, it is more sensible to get the three separately. But wow it looked impressive in the flesh.

Agree with you on this. 20k for a box set, which does look impressive when viewed but when you start to break it down piece by piece it makes little sense, especially now that the railmaster is being reduced by AD’s anywhere between 10-30% and the other two can now be bought on the Secondary market unworn at close to RRP.

Anyone remember the gushing about the 60th Speedmaster when it was announced ? It was to be the next Snoopy.

Same people listed them pretty quickly on SC when it wasn’t to be.

If I take a quick look at the sales corner, I see the Railmaster was sold for GBP 3075, the Seamaster is still for sale after a month for GBP 4250, and the Speedmaster is up for grabs at GBP 4750. That's 12k for the trilogy. Without the ugly extra line on the dial.

That makes for one very expensive storage box.

To my eye they look much better without the additional text on the dial.
    Still enjoying my speedy

I don't really know what Omega were thinking of with the extra text on the dial. The whole point was to recreate the historical models, so why the hell ruin the ones people were expected to pay a premium for with an ugly number?

I do like the models - maybe one day I'll try a Seamaster - but 20k is ridiculous!

I really dislike the faux aged lume on these (and on any other watch).

I have to say I disagree with most comments here. I like the extra text. It is subtle. It is definitely a collector's set. And it was more interesting than the Rolex in a window threads and rarer!

Personally don't like the text, but they had to do something to differentiate the standalone models, otherwise what would be the point of the set.

For some reason I thought the watches that sold in the trilogy box set were different sizes to the ones sold separately. I may be wrong on this one though

Wow that is a surprise and a nice collectors set.

No one not a collector would pay the premium I wouldn’t think if they plan on wearing the watches because as rightly pointed out above much less expensive to buy individually.

Still it looks impressive and the Speedmaster is lovely
