Nice and not a bad wait in the scheme of things. Is that your GMT in the background?

Very different watches to be honest, if I’m allowed both it’d be the GMT for Mon-Fri and the Daytona for weekends but if I had to choose one on form it’d be the Daytona and if picking for function it’d be the GMT.

Definitely worth the wait! That with the GMT would be my perfect 2 watch collection. Not that is every stay with only 2 Ha.

Congrats, always love a white dial. Committing heresy buy saying I've never been attracted to Rolex, but the more I read about the love so many people have for them I'm going to have to try a couple on my wrist. Who knows how the wind will blow?

I do like the Daytona, even owned one for a few years. May be as I get older I’m getting more cynical.

The current version is marketing genius. Basically the same watch since 2000, change the bezel material, put the “Zenith” black sub dials bezels back in, restrict supply and people go gaga for the king new clothes.

As mentioned earlier I do still like them, and Rolex as a brand, glacial evolution rather than revolution.

The vast majority would choose the white one.

I am down for a black dial, as I feel the black dial with bezel makes the watch seem larger. But i can see the appeal of the white.

Strange how people’s perceptions differ, I’ve always thought the exact opposite and that the (any) white dialled watch appears larger.

Thanks again for all your comments Gents, to be honest I’d almost given up on getting one from an AD...

Congrats on the watch. I wish I could get my hands on one but some reason it’s just not happening. Struggle to even find an open list, that’s even after using an AD I have brought from before!

No secret mate, genuine, straight up AD prioritising local and repeat customers, and I think the Pepsi was almost by way of an apology as I’d waited so long for the Daytona (I rang the AD when the release was being live-streamed and yet they still hadn’t got me one).....

then lo and behold the Daytona came in a couple months later anyway....

If you don’t want to pay over RRP (which I didn’t) it’s just a waiting game mate, I’ve spent quite a few quid at ‘my’ AD but there’ll always be someone spending more, so literally it’s just playing the long (waiting) game....

Certainly not paying over RRP, I’ve been out the U.K. for a while so not had a chance to visit my independent AD in a while. Fingers crossed in October as the other AD’s I brought from are part of the Arum Group and i have no expectations from them

    Crikey, well done mate!

In my mind, "repeat customer" means dropping vast amounts of cash on two-tone datejusts and precious metal pieces?

    Truly outstanding.

A great choice and my favourite with that dial

Sorry, but not for me. I would prefer your GMT.
