    Number plate help

Hi I know personal registration plates polarize opinions and I'm firmly in the no camp!!!
However my wife quite likes them, I have a friend with a plate that would suit could anyone advise how we go about the transfer and rough costs please?
For info the plate is northern Ireland and I'm UK based, looking online this does not seem to be an issue?
Any help would be great or is there a company etc that could deal with it for us?

If the reg is on your friends car, he needs to go online and put it on retention. The DVLA will issue a new number for his car. When the cert comes through, he can nominate to put it on your wifes car and sign it over to her. As she owns the car, it will be hers to do with as she pleases in future. ts actually a very quick and easy procedure to do online. The costs are explained on the website, plus whatever your mate wants for it.
