Hi and welcome. Not the wrong thread at all :). You have some interesting watches, post some pictures up when you have a moment.
Good evening, all.
I’ve been meaning to join for ages and never got around to it. Long time member on CWF and less so on TWF, so I know a few people here who belong to one or both.
Me? Teacher approaching retirement (2 years, I hope). Then I want to get around a bit and do some travel writing.
Watches? My pride and joy are a Speedmaster Pro Moonwatch and a Cartier Tank Solo XL. I also have half a dozen CWs, mainly quartz chronographs but also a Trident GMT Diver. A few nice vintage watches, a few pocket watches and a few beaters. Possible retirement present to self (and exit watch) could be an Explorer.
Anyway, thanks for having me here. I shall go take a look around.
Apologies, already managed to post this in the wrong thread!

Some interesting watches, I have always wondered about CW would be interested in your experience.
Explorers are a cool watch both the 1 and 2 IMO, I have a 216570 polar but nearly bought an explorer 1 when I went past an AD with one in the window last Friday

Welcome to the forum from another Norfolk lad!
Welcome to the forum, a lot of fun to be had here. ;)
Welcome (even from Suffolk).
One of the important charms of this forum is the chance to expand horizons (and develop constructive -- and often expensive -- envy) from looking at photos of other's collections.
Please treat us . . . . .
They make some brilliant watches and usually very good VFM. I’ve bought, sold and traded a few over the years.
Anyway, pics...the gruesome twosome:
5 of the CWs..
The C60 GMT on tour in Greece...
The vintage stuff...
The beater box (Makos and Animals)...
The pocket rockets...
Here's a warm welcome from a friendly face.

Well I certainly recognise a good few of that collection to realise who this is, welcome aboard.
hello from a newbie .
Hello and welcome, have a high six from me!!!

Welcome! Have a great time here. I spent many happy years in Norwich - mainly at UEA - and taught in Suffolk for quite a while. Some super watches there and as a teacher approaching retirement you should definitely treat yourself to an Explorer when the big day comes!
Hi and welcome to the forum.
You have a nice range of timepieces.
What do you think to the new Trident 65 GMT?
Contemplating whether to get one.
That Cartier is class!

Some lovely watches you have there. Welcome to the forum
Lovely collection. Particularly the Cartier.
Also really like the Omega and Longines "dressies", and the Orient.
Always good to welcome a fellow ‘neighbour’ and of course watch enthusiast.

Welcome (from an ex-teacher) ...I'm sure you're counting the days!
Welcome to the forum
Welcome
I love (some of) the collection so far , and am very keen to see more pictures of that oversize Leonidas(? - is that right?) chronograph on the right hand end of the vintage stuff picture.
Welcome to the forum. Love that Cartier, they are elegant and classy it not much loved on the forum. Also good plan dorbthe retirement watch. I formally retired this year and treated myself to a special timepiece.

I would say now your here it’s a slippery slope to watch madness but I see you are already elsewhere so the madness has already set in!
Enjoy!

Welcome from another ex teacher. Clearly the escape committee is alive and well. Nice collection.
The 'gruesome twosome' as you call them are superb. Moonwatch is a classic grail watch, but the Cartier IMHO is brilliant.
I thought no CW collection was complete these days without a D-Type in it?
Hi, a compliment on your great collection of watches, the vintage watches are very nice.. the tank is also lovely👍good taste sir.
Welcome along. Your main two, the carrier and speedy, make a surprisingly strong pairing when you see them together like that, and seem extremely well judged... would you worry than an explorer might just squat in the centre of that Venn diagram, rather than bringing a new direction of its own...
Thanks for the updates and kind comments. I have a couple of years to think about the whole question of exit watch and Explorer. No hurry.
Welcome, and that’s a lovely watch collection - the Speedmaster & Cartier complement each other very well.
Nice collection , welcome to the forum
Lovely collection, welcome and enjoy.
There are a few us around here from Norfolk and north Suffolk so keep yours eyes peeled for the next get together, it will more likely be when big nose returns from walkabout.

Welcome from a tyro- lovely to see a Cartier fan. I'm mulling over a Tank MC as my pre exit watch (currently semi-retired) but just wary as it wears quite large on my wrist
Also have speedmaster and Cartier. Mine is the Santos XL. Seems they are not a popular watch on this forum. I love mine and would not part with it. Had one about 15 years ago and sold it. It's the only watch that I regretted selling. Great to get one back again..
Regards Paul
I guess any jewellery brand are not considered vfm - Cartier, Piaget, Chopard and dare I say... Tiffany?
