This is the one for me. Keep it simple with the PRS40.

I know what you mean. Busy dials are fine if done in the right way.

Surprised me really as most people ramble on about busy dials on Breitlings, while I find them fine, but this is (to my eye) a case of trying to squeeze too much into too little area.

    I like the concept though.

Yep, after all if you can't see the details without your reading glasses, then what's the point.

Simple designs stand the test of time too (pardon the pun!)

Just playing around with a couple of ideas

Going against the grain somewhat - I quite like all of the suggested dial options - itís the case I canít quite get my head around, but Iím not a Smiths aficionado so apologies if Iím missing something.

Very interested to see the prototype though.

In terms of the lume, I may well be alone in this, but has blue (BGW9for instance) been ruled out?

Thats just what I was thinking. It has to have a date and move the crown somewhere else.

    Not going to happen.

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".

I'm not bothered about the date on this design.

The crown where it is is what fundamentally MAKES this design, so damn right, it should be non-negotiable.

Overall, these renderings show this chronograph version of the watch to bring the bullhead style (which was looking very dated and 70s) into the 21st century with aplomb.

If it's a mission timer style, I'll be buying one, without any doubt. Less keen, otherwise, on multi dialled versions that my ageing eyesight can't read. But it seems this is an opportunity to create something amazing.

Iím in the minority in preferring Version A however I reckon the second hand would look awesome in orange on either version.

I'd imagine both... but moving the crown would just make it a different watch!

    This. Version A VK67.

I am usually drawn to bicompax chronos, but here there seems to be just too much unoccupied real estate on the lower half of the dial with the 6 o'clock dial omitted. I had the same problem with the original PRS-40, much as I love the case and tried to like the watch, I just couldn't come to terms with the sparse dial. THIS however, really looks sharp.
