    Personally would hold out for a panda as previously stated, but if you like them both I would go for the one you think you will get the most wear out of.

    Ok so here is a quick update for anyone interested!

    Thank you for all your comments and ideas and I have listened. Whilst there does not seem to be a Panda or Blue version of the speedmasters anywhere in Japan (well Osaka and Tokyo!), I decided not to compromise and go for the red or green version and therefore came home empty handed.

    However, the OB did say that they could order one and that it would take around 2 months to arrive but I would still have to be there to pay and collect it. I can’t do that but a kind Japanese colleague has ordered the watch for me and bring it with them when they come to visit before Christmas. It means, I lose the 8% tax rebate but if it means I get the Panda then I can live with that!

    So fingers crossed that one of these will be coming my way.

    The Yen conversion works out at around £4,600 which seems the going rate nowadays for LEs but at least this one comes on a bracelet!
