You'd have to be absolutely desperate!

Having said that there are two BLNRs in show windows in Winchester, both at £9.5k or so.

My thoughts too. I thought only the flat fours, f serials etc were selling for over £10k even in NOS condition

The watch pictured above is one of the last dial versions, so it's not an early example.

Indeed, do I see the numbered inner rehaut showing it to be a very late one? Some might get excited about that, of course.

Perhaps this is an appropriate cue to show this very early, F-series example with Mark 1 dial that I've just received back from Rolex UK:

They’ll try it on! To defend why this might be worth more than most LVs, it is a very late model with RBR and in exceptional condition. To me, this watch is peak Submariner - but I think it’s worth much closer to £10k...

It may be the lighting, there looks to be a scratch on Bezel insert below the 4. Otherwise I would consider it to be no cleaner than most 2006/2007 on offer around 9-10k price range so I agree it is at least £5000 over priced.

What are the chances that the Green Premium will still be there when collectors are buying these in 30 years?

Appears to be that any Rolex professional in NOS condition is carrying a hefty premium in today’s market and Watch club is certainly looking to mug someone with their pricing. Currently have Sub Date models with nearly £9k asking price and are now pushing the SD43 premium for “MK1” dials, which I am sure most dealers will all start hyping as the next big investment piece.

Really sad to see that for many, Rolex professional models have become no more than a possible cash machine. It reminds me of people who have toys, whiskey bottles etc unused in the original packaging and untouched, staring at them through the plastic covering, afraid to ever take them out as it will effect the value, disappointing existence when life is so short for us all.
