    Concentrated cannabis extract

So here's an odd one. Wife's uncle in Thailand diagnosed with stage 4 lung cancer that had spread to spine. Put on palliative care programme. Relatives in Thailand illegally send through cannabis extract from USA to relieve his pain. He's taken this since July. Latest check up shows cancer in full remission. It's GONE! WTF???? Is this just a huge coincidence or is the Cannabis what's done it. Either way I'm pleased as punch for him and my wife

It’s becoming more and more mainstream and highlighted that it is having an effect on cancer treatment. Obviously it’s not going to work on everyone all of the time but research suggests it is an effective form of treatment for a number of illnesses.

CBD oil is popular now, however make sure you get a proper oil not one diluted and mixed with other things.

Good news. There’s no real facts about its effect on cancer but anecdotal evidence suggests it can be very effective in some cases. It’s because the proportion of active ingredient tetrahydrocannabinol (THC) can be upto 4 times higher in the concentrate than high grade normal cannabis.

My father had multiple sclerosis and although he never used it the subject was discussed at the time and it is now evidenced to definitely help MS patients. With the two prong attack coming now in the form of huge advancement in stem cell technology/research being used to regenerate the damaged/missing myelin sheath covering the nerves, there truly is some light at the end of the tunnel for sufferers of that most undignifying illness.

Ps ballsy move importing cannabis to Thailand of all places. Wow

Perhaps the previous treatment prior to the palliative care did work and now the effects are showing ? Either way great news for the uncle !

Not the first story I’ve heard about this I’m certain if it was me or one of mine I’d be trying it too

It's the cannabinoids that are beneficial, not the THC. The THC is the psychoactive element and in concentrated medical cannabis the THC is vastly reduced. In other words, medical cannabis doesn't get you stoned like normal cannabis.

Everyone should listen to Jello Biafra's riff on cannabis:

Any idea what kind of dosage he was using.

Stage 4 cancers with metastasis don't miraculously disappear. My bet is on a misdiagnosis, either the initial diagnosis was wrong or the latest scan was analysed incorrectly. My wife's father had a miraculously cured liver cancer that killed him 3 months later due to a misread scan. Beware of miracles.

    That's what I was thinking.

Very enjoyable, can't argue with anything he says, amazing really how willingly enslaved we are to bad ideas because there's profit/power in them for a tiny minority. Incredible that there's this naturally occurring plant, weed really, which can provide so many beneficial extracts, natural drugs and essential products with minimal effort on our part but we choose the more destructive, resource inefficient path. Doh.

There's many scientific studies that go back to 1974 that show the effects of THC on cancer. In 1974 researchers at the medical college of Virginia funded by the National Institute of Health had been asked to find evidence that cannabis harmed the immune system but instead they found something else. During their studies they found instead that THC slowed the growth of three kinds of cancer in mice; lung cancer, breast cancer, and a virus-induced leukemia. Further scientific research conducted over the years has proved cannabis kills many types of cancer. CBD on its own will not work. Its very good for pain, seizures etc but will not work against cancer on its own. THC and CBD together has the greatest medical properties. I myself have first hand experience in this matter and have seen many people and dogs cured of cancer with treatment of this nature.

Hard to say really, this plant does so many fantastic things. Whoever would have thought that CBD helped bone repair. There was a recent study by researchers from the University of Jerusalem and Tel Aviv University, CBD was found to enhance fracture healing and stimulate Lysyl Hydroxylase (a highly abundant enzyme involved in bone healing) activity in osteoblasts (bone building cells)

    Only time will tell.

About 10 years back, I got a phone call from a man who told me that he had cancer and that he was unable to finish his Saab Sonett resto project. I agreed to buy the parts and pick 'm all up. He also had a wonderful Saab 93 (two-stroke) in his garage.

When I met the man for the first time IRL he was obviously very ill and was glad that he'd sold me the Sonett. He didn't want to sell the Two-stroke. Over coffee, he told me about his situation and the fact that he'd started using this cannabis extract. Guess what: two years ago I found out that the man was alive and well. He had his Two-stroke adapted: he had a power steering and a semi-automatic clutch system installed and was happily cruising the border region in the East!

    So yes, wonders do exist.
