Have a scratch to the glass of my Everest can I do anything to polish it out, it is from 8 across to around 6.30 I originally thought it was just a smudge.

Brasso works well. The important thing is to prevent it going down the sides of the crystal. Apart from that it's easy, and looking at the pic I'd expect it to polish right out.
Start off with the finest grade of emery paper and finish off with Polywatch. It might take a while but it's therapeutic.

Acrylic should be rather easy to polish, I’ve often removed mild scratches from my orient with the mineral crystal and it’s not too hard - I think I even used autosol
