    A reminder...

..that a brilliant watch doesn’t require many thousands of pounds, or a long waiting list.

Pulled this out of the watch box for the first time in quite a while, and had forgotten just how awesome a watch it is.

    Perspective restored

A Q-tip with some Zippo lighter fluid wouldn't go a miss.

Terrific watch, I have the black-dialed version.

Rock solid, lume like a torch, great bracelet, ISO Diver conforming, wetsuit extension, drilled lugs, hands that look like a rocket ship when they overlap, unique looks and superbly grippy bezel & crown. Prices seem to have risen for the Mk1 too.

Lol! I find a gentle nail brush and a bit of soap works a treat followed by a warm water rise and dry!

I love my Monster but by Christ the gaps between the bezel and shroud are hard to keep clean.

    Cool!

I do think the bracelet is one of the best features though, but obviously tricky with DLC type coatings

Can we make the August bank holiday Monday Monster day?

When people provide that level of detail it always makes me wonder...

If you'd just left it at nail polish remover I'd have assumed it was from the missus or left over from repairing a film camera's light seals.

Love the orange monsters. Wanted one as a holiday/beater watch but prices have virtually doubled in recent times.

Surely it's just Monster Monday, otherwise you have to wait for a bank holiday.

That "Rocket" I have on my Samurai Save the Ocean too, makes me smile. A diver & space watch in ONE.

Probably not! I have feeble 6.5 inch wrists, but it fits great, being relatively short lug to lug. I would ignore wrist shots, as they don't look like real life, due to the way the lens alters perspective

Your right, don’t need to spend thousands for a good watch.
Also another I hadn’t noticed the rocket ship when the hands line up on my monster.
    Nice one

You know, I really do not like the monster design in the slightest but i do thproughly agree with the OP's sentiment that watch satisfaction can be had without excess expenditure.

Having just bought a bargain priced Samurai I fully agree. It’s not left my wrist since it being delivered and has made my holiday watch choice very easy!
Never knew about the rockets but will eagerly wait for it to line up in the next hour
