Hello, my first post on the site although I've been a member for a while and regularly follow a lot of the topics. I've got a bit of an issue with one of my old seiko' s. It's a 7123 823h sq 100m diver. It had a bit of an issue with the date wheel and in my attempts at repairing that I must have at some point made contact with the coil. That unfortunately means it looks like it's the end of the movement. Getting a replacement 7123a movement looks like it's going to be difficult to say the least. I'm wondering if there is a more modern seiko movement that I might be able to swap it out for? It's a lovely watch that I'd love to keep running.
Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

Not aware of a modern replacement, but I think your best bet will be to buy a watch and use the movement as a donor, it is not a rare movement so there should be a few available on eBay.
