Lightbulb Swiss Made Nereide GMT launching soon on Kickstarter

    Hi guys!

Yesterday I was spending my time in Facebook groups and I was particularly impressed by a photo in the stream that caught my attention. What I'm talking about is Nereide GMT, a diver watch by Meccaniche Veneziane with ETA 2893-2. I already own a lot of diver watches but I'm impressed by the colors and the good quality for the money (ETA GMT and sapphire glass).
I was almost going to pull the trigger on my third Steiny (exactly, I already have two lol) but now I'm seriously considering to buy it when it will be available on Kickstarter.
Here there are some shots I've taken from Meccaniche Veneziane website.

What do you think of this timepiece?

    Website: www.launch.meccanicheveneziane.it

    Here are some pics

I've been looking at these myself. I particularly like the copper/root beer type one. Just got to convince myself to 'pull the trigger'.

Nice color choices. I’d go for one that doesn’t look like a Rolex knock off.

This color scheme works quite well, and doesn't scream rolex

The 22mm lug width on a 42mm case kills it for me. Otherwise I really like it.

Nice enough, if a little generic looking watch.

I think the specs make it an attractive purchase at the kickstarter price and do I like the root-beer version.

Too big and the case looks horrible and flat like a Steinhart.

I do like the look of the white dial and root beer bezel though.

That light grey bezel option is really nice, looks almost faded. Shame the date wheel isn't colour matched

Actually, now you mention it. It does look a bit.. off? Just a bit too fat for the case.

Interesting that one of what I would consider my best looking watches, the Zenith De Luca, is nearly this, the De Luca has 22mm lugs on a 40/41mm watch,

I think this looks nice, I really do, and I like that they have put so many options on the table. Good luck to them, although I am certain I do not need another GMT.

The thickness. Quite a bit more than the vintage subs or the Rolex 16700. This killed it for me. I have no problem wearing thick watches but it does t feel right when it’s not a chronograph.
But apart from they have done a great job...

I've read books with less text than this has on its dial.

    Maybe that's because you're Australian? :)

I agree though, far too much text on the dial, a la ginault ocean rover. I really like it though.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

Interesting range of colours! I fear in the metal it will be too large.

Well this seems to be doing as well as the Newmark - launched at 2.00 and they’ve already got over 330 backers.

I have. I’ve no GMT at the moment and the additional bezel options make it quite versatile.

I've seen a few favorable impressions of their 3 hander when I was researching.
