quick search on Chrono24 puts them at 20+k€.
crazy price.
Hi folks
Was chatting to some people at work about watches and they didn’t know what a silver snoopy was. A quick google later and they’re telling me people are selling them at £15-20k now?!?!
So that got me thinking .... given I’m currently sitting with a spreadsheet trying to work out where I can get funds to pay for the honeymoon I’ve just booked!
If anyone has recently bought or sold one, any chance of a PM to let me know what you actually paid/got so I can get an idea of what they’re actually worth in mint condition? Can post here too obviously.
I don’t actually believe they’re selling at over 15k and had no plans to ever part with mine.... but never say never I guess if they are. Hard to explain to swmbo that the honeymoon needs to be cut back so I can keep more watches
Cheers!
Dave

crazy price.
If you have one and want to sell, it will easily go for £15000.
I missed a chance of one at £8000 as i thought that was crazy money.
No longer for me as better watches for the money but as an investment i can't think of anything that has done so well in the last few years.
The risk of buying a popular omega like this is you never know if omega will bring out similar models going forward that could affect the price. This won't be the last snoopy we see.
How many of there made? I’m guessing very few.

They made 1970 of them. 45th anniversary of Apollo 13
I had no idea prices had allegedly gone up so high. I don’t keep an eye on the used market for watches I own. I buy to keep, not to profit.
However ... wedding / honeymoon nonsense is forcing me to get creative with funding

Great looking watch but prices for the snoopy right now are just crazy! Wonder if the ultraman will hit similar levels?

I bought my first one for £8.5k and a second for £9k and plenty on here thought I was completely mad. They both got traded on to Watchfinder.
The last one I saw listed sold last week for £20k and it appears there are no shortage of buyers.
It could go further...
Kinda wish it was only worth £1k tbh. Had no plans to sell it ever, especially given how hard it was to get in the first place and all the nonsense I had with Omega at the time.
But at those kind of values it's too hard to ignore how much easier that would make wedding/honeymoon and other current grown up type stuff.. so it's starting to look more likely it'll be appearing in a sales corner post in the not too distant future :(
Better to have loved and lost... or so they say.
Cheers!
Sell it and have a honeymoon to remember.
It’s only a aath
Crazy money, sell and have a honeymoon to remember
I agree, it's just a watch. There will always be other watches, you only get 1 honeymoon :)
Having owned two and got rid of both I wish it had been a complete flop and second hand examples were £2.5k or so. I genuinely love the watch and would have another in a heartbeat, but at £20k that is crazy money.
Crazy money for Omega

IMO its current hype as I'm not sure you can personally sell at these asking..
Still quite a few on Chrono24 that have not shifted

I always said that I would never sell mine but I have a building project going on and needed to raise a sizeable (for me) lump of cash.
Mine was sold to a mate that has been after one for a while for £12k last week. He did agree to offer it back to me if he decides to move it on, so I may get it back at some point. Funds permitting.
Would I buy one at £20k? Nope, I’d have to pass at that price point.
