Bracelet adjustment...its taken me ages to realise this...the watch sits better with fewer links on the 6 o Clock side for me...as I say i've only just realised after applying the principle of equal links on both sides.

With most bracelets I have 7 links from the 12 and 5 links from the 6 in order to get the clasp central on the back of the wrist.

Equal numbers on each side just doesn't work for me at all with any brand.

It depends on the particular clasp but 9 times out of 10 I will do something similar to the above, depends a lot on the clasp. My wrists are very flat on the bottom so none of the curved clasps really sit right in any position.

You've not paid attention to my posts on this topic!

Yes, in the majority of cases the best fit is achieved by having the 6 side slightly shorter. This is particularly true with large cantilever clasps and small wrists....I speak from experience. On some clasp designs it makes little difference, but if one side has to be shorter it should always be the 6 side.

Noticed this myself and so all my bracelets are shorter on the 6:00 side. On my recently bought Vostok, I couldn't get the bracelet right at all, ended up turing the bracelet round to get it to sit right and be comfortable :)

I have always done that. I thought everyone did!

Not sure how I ever knew about it though, probably just trial and error.

Something so obvious yet something I’ve never thought of.
Will have to adjust some bracelets now.

It's a good call as I've noticed this and can't understand the logic behind it!

Depends on the bracelet, wrist size, wrist shape and wearers preferred style/comfort.

For me, yes, I have a least 2 less links on the 6 o clock side

I actually find it better for my wrist with the 12 side shorter so not always

I find it varies from watch to watch.. but generally more links at 12 for me too

I always place the head where I want it to sit, and the clasp so it's comfortable.
5.5 on 6 side and 6 on 12 for me works.

    Hope this helps.
It works because the folding bit of many clasps extends further than the clasp appears from the outside of the bracelet.

The key is to make the folding but central to the wrist rather than the outwardly visible portion of the clasp

All of mine are shorter on the 6 side, dependant on the clasp type gives the number of links difference.

I’ve done the same for most of my watches, just thought it was common knowledge.
