    Turkish Lira

Anyone thinking of getting their Lira for next years holiday now while the rate looks good?

I imagine some tourists might be thinking twice about even going there next year.

Were going at the end of September but it’s all inclusive so not really too much help.
I am hoping to play golf but the courses charge Euro as standard rate. They do take Lira but varies daily with exchange rate so no help there either.

Reading the more in depth financial analysis of the economic situation, I would not get them yet. 15 months ago, I was getting 4.3 to £, now it topped out at close to 9 a couple of days ago. As my place there is still worth same in lira as it was in May last year, that means if I were to sell and bring the money back, I would lose half of it!

i have worked with a few private dental practices out there, they are suddenly seeing a lot of uptake on quotes they gave a few months ago, with some people paying in full upfront when booking the appointment.

I supply to a company in Turkey, they pay in Stirling, so there prices have effectively gone up 40%,

Our debt insurance has just been pulled on Turkey (only new debts)

I think you could be right, can’t see DJT backing down first.
