They do look really nice... But also absolutely huge.
Browsing Kickstarter and came across this.

I do like vintage dive watches, but find them too small, but at 47mm these are on the big side.
Considering backing as I’m loving the look, what do you guys think?

I have been praying for someone to make a decent Caribbean 1000 homage for years. I even thought about doing it myself but alas I know nothing about watch making. Unfortunately, that is not what I was praying for. This is:

This might be of interest, sorry if you've already seen it. Particular interest is Eddie's post about making a homage.

V nice design but over 42 and I'm out.
A little too big and a lot too expensive for a Seagull chrono, a movement with which I have not had good experience.
And anyone that tells me on their main page that the original "was powered by a vintage Valjoux 72 automatic chronograph movement" is having a giraffe. People really do need to check their details

Whole chunks of my life come under the heading "it seemed like a good idea at the time".
Seems to be a disk case rather than a traditional lugged one. I am guessing this accounts for the size as well.
The new seagul movement seems to be based on the valjoux 7750...

Lovely. I almost started to think that I was making it all up in my head... I was sure I had read a post from Eddie about an updated version .... but couldn’t find it. Thanks for sharing!
