    Shared access path

Hi I would appreciate some views and realise that I maybe making a mountain out of a molehill.

I have finally found a property and had an offer accepted. All good. However I did not realise that there is a shared access path on the side of the property. It’s not a drive so it’s a smaller headache. I assumed that the path was council land as it allows access for about 4 properties but the land is owned by he 2 properties either side.

There is some rule which prevents it being built upon.

The path is useful as it allows rear access to the house and let’s me get garden rubbish out.

I have totally ignored all houses with shared drives as I think they could lead to all sorts of issues with access etc.

Is this something that could cause a problem in the future (I know no one can tell if an issue would arise) and am i needlessly concerned?

    Thanks

Shared driveway would be a no for me , but a path like this wouldn’t bother me .

I can’t really see many problems too it .

Thanks. I was definitely out with the shared driveway but I was surprised about a shared path!

Every house I looked at that shared anything like that I refused.

It could be fine, but if it isn’t it could be hell.

I think asking the question you realise it.
