I was fortunate enough to purchase both the Halios and the Everest on this forum.
The Everest was purchased as a result of me posting a WTB. I believe Eddie will soon be taking orders for the new 36mm Everest, so keep an eye on this forum for that date.
The Halios was purchased as a result of a forum member having second thoughts on a Sales Corner purchase. I believe you have missed the latest pre order for the Seaforth, but keep an eye on their website or Instagram as they will be putting up for sale any watches that may have had their pre order canceled.

Roy Taylor made some good watches. He's still around selling straps but took a break from watches. The RLT69 is about 16 years old I think, I bought it used. I think it was the only smiths homage around at that time.

I unfortunately missed the last pre-order too. Still looking for one 2nd hand.

I wish they made more at once!

I have to add Ming into the discussion - the 17.03 fits perfectly. I'm very happy with my 17.01 pictured here. It's big brother, 19.01 (though the price of that exceeds this definition) will be joining later in the year

Another small brand I admire massively is Ochs und Junior - though the pricing is also a bit higher than the definition you've put out...

Just home to see this (microbrand strap) had arrived.
I’ll take better pics with the SLR shortly, but here’s a Q&D iPhone snap...

Overall - I love there look - but it’s a bit long for my 7.25” wrists - so I may have to start playing around with it to get a better fit.

Some lovely watches in this thread!

Here is one of my microbrand watches, a Boldr Voyager , brass case, sapphire crystal with an NH35a movement. I quite often wear this on a black NATO.

Worst thing about microbrands is the constant temptation!

For the purposes of this thread I propose a focus on watches that are of decent quality (of course subjective) and in the £250 - 1250 range.

Aim: To help expand awareness of alternative brands and to give those of us who like collecting less expensive yet well made watches a specific thread to look at perhaps other lesser known brands.

Reason: Since joining tz-uk on the advice of Steptoe I have become aware of various micro brands that have taken my fancy. Contained in various threads are examples of watches that I’ve enjoyed looking at yet otherwise would not have necessarily been aware of.

I’ll start with my most recent incoming.

Made in Germany, Kemmner uses many eta movements and has produced watches of various designs and styles. I am of the understanding that he is no longer producing watches under the Kemmner name and is instead focusing on meeting the demands of the other brands that he builds watches for.

My Kemmner 007 vintage. Sourced from SC.

What a thread, im jealous of a lot of your watches guys ... wow

Nice design in its own right but the rank badge puts me off more than the SM300 wannabee look.

Possibly stretching the colloquial meaning of the word -- but definitely within the literal meaning -- the ultimate (IMHO) "microbrand".

Using no automated machinery, the small group of people pictured below, produce and assemble between five and ten watches per week -- including using only in-house designed and manufactured movements. Today's watch is Type 99.1 number 499 (of about 600 ever produced to date). I'm pleased and proud to be able to own one.

The watch is a "marine" style lo-beat hand-winder, 42mm stainless steel with (of course) a sapphire crystal display back.

Currently wearing it playing golf in Marbella. Happy days.

Very pleased with this one. Build quality is pretty good, although the bracelet is a little on the heavy side and reminds me of the strapcode bracelets.

Have been looking at these over on WUS, very tempted as they appear good value, well done you.

The value is definitely there. I can't honestly say anything bad of it other than that the clasp could be less substantial, but I'm sure some people will love it. For me, it is probably the largest I can go.

Tried it on blushark premium nato. It is pretty good, but the watchhead is so large that the small nato doesn't feel that comfortable. I'll try it again on a nato when I get the thicker and better orca natos @22mm.

It’s amazing how each Teju strap is unique, so not only the watch is pretty special with very low numbers, but then every strap is unique too

Superb! She's given me a bit of grief though as I had to have it fully serviced but running great now and worth every penny. Spoke with Eddie personally about it and he sent his best regards on getting one of the originals!

Not sure I'm pleased or irritated to have found this thread.

On the up side I have learnt more about what micro brands are out there (never going to be in the running for a mega brand).

On the down side I have learnt more about what micro brands are out there. My wish list has lengthened even further.

It's taken me two hours to read this thread, what with visiting so many brand websites.

I particularly like the offerings from Marloe, A-13A and Unimatic.

Thanks to the OP and those who have posted.

    Will

Third pic down on this page (which when you click it shows the one above it, not the one in the click link)

    http://www.tiger-concept.com/parts.html

Edit to say.....it was a complete Bar Steward to fit from the spring bars popping into place perspective
but worth it in the end.
