I don’t have anything vintage at the moment after selling my Heuer 510.511, so what could I get away with?
I’m going 50’s/60’s with blue check jacket and waistcoat, mole skins, brogues
I’ve a silver fob watch and a gold hunter, both need work though.
GMT Pepsi? Everything else I have is modern, after 2005, and mostly divers.
Or is this a genuine reason to buy something suitable?

Nobody will know or care what you wear. I would say a GMT Pepsi would be ideal. I used to go every year but not for the last two; it was always an excuse to wear my Ed White Speedmaster.

I've got a couple that would fit the bill....

Not been to the Revival, but have 'done' the Festival of Speed a few times, marshalling on the rally stage once.
The period reflected is the 40s to 6os; I can't think of any watches still in production which span this period apart from the Reverso; any others come to mind?
From memory the track was open from 1948-1966, although there are always a load of modern Morgans in the pre-'66 car park so if they don't care I wouldn't. I just wear whatever's right for the weather, something 1960s if it's sunny and something new and water resistant if it's raining. And when it rains it usually hammers it down!

A nice Hanhart flieger chronograph would probably go well!
The Patek Calatrava would fit the bill nicely, at a price.....been around since the 1930s. Or an early Datejust/Daydate would work well.

Any Speedy Pro would fit the bill I reckon, preferably on a rallye strap. Better if it's an early one, naturally. It was always related to timing of fast things, before it ever went into space. It's also changed little since it was born in the late 50s.
I went last year, had a fantastic time. I am sad to say I can't remember what watch I wore!
You will need a set of white overalls, preferably with some old motor-related logos. And a cravat. And wellies if it's muddy.

And Goodwood Revival is all about 'appearance'......
