Took my Indian scout bobber out for its first significant (speed) run today since Autumn.

Reckon the front brakes are working at about 20% of normal efficacy. The rear brake is better at slowing the bike than the front. Front brake lever can be pulled to the bar without activating the ABS. Not immediately lethal but certainly not as safe as it should be.

A quick google reveals at least one recall for the front brakes for the bobber. I haven’t heard anything despite buying the bike new 1 year ago. Somewhat unimpressed. Guess the dealer I bought it from going under probably didn’t help the comms but would have expected Polaris UK to have a plan for this sort of thing.

I think the CBT is on a Yamaha YB125??
Then straight onto a MT-07 to try and get my fill license sorted.
Bought my bike back in December, BMW G310GS, and haven't been able to have a go yet.

I was going to put a G on the left of the T and a B on the right but controversially decided to put GB on a pannier ;-)

I like marmite but that motorcycle makes me feel a bit sick.

No offence if you bought it gyp, seemed like good value if it appeals.

Just dropped my Indian off at Krazy Horse in Welling for service/grips/making the front brakes be non-lethal.

Showroom is closed but might have caught corona from pressing my face up against the window looking at the MV Agusta collection there. I think they’re the most incredible looking sports/supernakeds out there. Brutale 800 has been on my radar since I saw one in the wild in France a few years ago.

Off to sample the delights of Welling now. Yay.

Picking up the bike and riding it the 300 miles home on Good Friday.

On Easter Saturday I'll either be declaring it the best bike ever or shoving it on eBay

I can confirm that Welling would be an ideal location for any period dramas set in 1989 requiring a deep-seated suburban decay backdrop.

I’m liking it tbh, it’s like being in a time machine. Plus there’s a cannon on the high street.

A bit of an online search suggests it was sold a few months ago too, for quite a bit less

I don't think I would ever want to be seen riding this

Or maybe not as they bits that I've ordered to be fitted before delivery may well not be delivered and fitted by then...

Picked up my new bike today.

    2019 Yamaha MT09

Fair bit more powerful than what I have been riding.
Seems like loads of fun though. Only had a short ride but love it so far.

    Thanks!

Looking forward to getting into Wales with the lads over Easter on it when things have opened up a bit.

Engine seems to dominate the riding experience quite a bit!

By coincidence I saw one of these riding round yesterday and misread the badge. I didn't think that Yamaha made an MT05, and it's nice to confirm that they don't

What do you guys think of the plate location?

I think it looks a bit strange and would get rid of it for a tail tidy but all of my mates have said keep it as it looks cool.

Nature of the beast now with safety regulations, and whilst I think it looked dreadful when bikes started it (Rear wheel guard of R1200GS from about 2004?) I've kind of got used to it and 17 years on quite like it

I'm going to be doing my lessons on a Yamaha MT-07 as soon as I get my CBT out the way (hopefully on Monday).

I may well reinstate the original headers leaving only the slip-ons to swap at MOT time if necessary.
Never had a problem with the Harley with Vance and Hines mufflers, and they were loud! Worst I ever got was an 'advisory'.

Started out with nothing. Still have most of it left.

    Ride in the wet?

    I’m not seventeen any more!

My bike wouldn’t really suit a modern rear end though.

You're right, and it's all the better for it...or do you mean your rear end wouldn't suit a modern bike?

Me, most definitely! As luck would have it I've 3 days holiday to use before the end of March so have taken the whole week off. I've been very good despite being tempted a few times to bend the rules. I have seen posts on local FB groups about bikers being stopped and questioned by the police too.

My bike has been subject to a fair bit of change over lockdown so I'm absolutely busting to get out and start enjoying it. Apologies in advance as I'm highly likely to take and post a picture or two.

At a loose end......with my family? I've already got a list of 'jobs' as long as my arm and some mandatory 'father and son time'. However, I'm sure we can fit something in....maybe an early ride out for a coffee/bacon buttie somewhere.....maybe the original tea shed or wherever it was that you went in one of your videos last year.....or somewhere else, I really don't care as long as I'm out! Maybe Wed or Thursday morning?? Sounds great....let me know.

A question for the bikers amongst us.

I am looking for a Bluetooth headset that would fit while wearing a helmet. Anyone got any ideas for me??I have found these 2:

    https://www.amazon.co.uk/dp/B07RB5RC...ing=UTF8&psc=1

    https://www.xlmoto.co.uk/motorcycle-...B&gclsrc=aw.ds

    Any and all advice appreciated,
    Chris.

Just looked into them, are they not more of an intercom??

I'm just wanting the basic Bluetooth headset for sat nav directions and hands free calling,, maybe some music.

When I do upgrade my helmet I will be looking into a decent intercom unit to do everything. For now just want something that will do the basics.

    Cheers,

    Chris

I bought it for the same reason as you, sat nav, music and calls. The fact I can talk to other riders is a bonus but 90percent of the time I ride on my own as none of my friends are into bikes
