Recommend me a coffee grinder.

Mine is a rancilio Silvia that's nearly 20y old. Working fine though I'm sure there are lots of much newer kids on the block

If single dosing is up your street, the Niche Zero is very good. Had mine for nearly 4 years and can't fault it.

Budget and purpose (press, filter, espresso)? The rancilio as mentioned is great. Not sure about the size if space is an issue. james Hoffman on YouTube has some good vlogs on grinders. My Kitchen Aid needs new burrs but its an old model so I am in the market myself. Not paying some crazy amount tho.

Thanks all, it's for a filter coffee machine, I use a Sage precision brewer recommended by James Hoffman.

My grinder was a Wilfa Svart, 10 years old. Not sure if it can be repaired?

We have this one from Barista & co, really good bit of kit. Burrs are replaceable, and the whole thing breaks down for cleaning.

Grinds from espresso and up.

Does one-shot and continuous.

It was a recommended buy when we were looking, but I can't remember where!

Makes a great espresso, with a fantastic crema!

I bought a Eureka Mignon Specialita last week on the recommendation of my son and a good friend.

It's fabulous and I'm delighted with it. Looks neat on the kitchen work surface too, so I haven't lost too many domestic brownie points :)

I think if you were into single dosing the manual version (much cheaper) would do the same thing.

I have that very same manual dose version, and can confirm it's a very good bit of kit. The Eureka is a more commercial oriented grinder, the sort of thing you would find in a cafe/sports club doing low volume or decaf. I've had mine for around 3 years now, and it's been flawless .

That’s what I have and would have recommended for filter coffee anyway; so yes just buy another one

Eureka Mignon. Had mine for 11 years and I wouldn't have anything else - looks great, perfect size, performs superbly. One tip though, get one of those coffee distributer tools like this https://www.amazon.co.uk/Espresso-Ho...d_i=B0C3H83MQH They do a great job in getting rid of clumps and really make a difference to the coffee

Ps. DON'T buy one! As someone has pointed out below, you can't get spares anymore. Pity, it's a solid machine and should've lasted a lifetime.

I have a Dualit EL60 conical burr grinder for my filter/pourover - bought in 2004 and still going - used daily.

Cost me £60 back then.

That's what I use but can't buy the burrs anymore unless someone knows of an aftermarket set.
