It may be a bit soon, and might not be what he fancies, but when we do return to normal I'll be putting my bike up for sale.
I know I'm a teeny bit biased, but......it is the coolest A2 compliant bike money can buy. And the only one for sale in the whole of the UK with the factory fitted Termigoni exhaust! It's got bar end mirrors now too.
Just imagine you both on orange bikes
Browsing through some pics and found some of these the last couple years. Really hoping things settle down this year and we can get out again on the bikes and go tour Europe.

Great photos Adrien! God I need to go touring again
Some fabulous pictures on this thread, really enjoying them. Got me thinking about some of my bikes from years ago, (unable to ride anymore so thinking about bikes is all I can do!), some of the below shots might take some of you back a few years....

Some great bikes there, and that’s some barnet you had back then.
Which one? There are two.
Although I guess the other is the F6C UK version.
I really liked that green and cream one.
Purchased from a dealer in Staffordshire.
Spent a bit of time and money getting it as near perfect as I could. Then sold it to a mate for under £6000. Regretted it. He done the same. Sold it. Then wondered why.
Owned about 8 over the years. I think I need another in my life real soon.
Beautiful bikes in there!
Have always thought that the superduke gt might be the perfect one bike all rounder. How is it to live with?
I had one identical to this. Horrid, poorly handling thing that rusted the moment you looked at it
I was just about to buy one of these, moments before lockdown
And this would do me perfectly, R100G/S PD. Lovely
The V-Max is a bike I always promised myself but have never owned...yet.
It’s bonkers.
Apparently it has the best version of the 900cc Triumph Twin engine so far...plenty for me. I'm too short for the other scramblers. I figure it's a great base for a bit of personalisation too as like you I do enjoy making bike my own.
The Ducati has been great and re-ignited my love of bikes after 10 years on scooters. But I just fancy a little bit more now if you know what I mean?
To tell the truth. Not got a clue.
Purchased that one in the winter when KTM had reduced them by about £5000 to £11,000.
It sat around for a month or two, while it snowed. Then I thought I fancied a 1290S more. So I sold the GT for what it cost. Never rode it.
Bit of a waste. As I agree. Lovely bike. Lots of power and reasonably practical with those panniers.
My real hair was worse!

Having a quick look play with the configurator mine comes in at £12,836, and that's before adding the 3 Givi Trekker boxes with reassuringly expensive bespoke mounting system (about £1300 all in), BMW Nav VI GPS, BMW 4-button mount, SW-Motech mounting system and wiring harness, (about £800) clock with another bespoke mounting system (about £75), Scottoiler x-system (£200)...
... and to think that I bought the Triumph as the bargain option compared with the Harley Softail that I was considering instead...
I guess it matters not. They're all garage ornaments at the moment.
You can get a few traffic light drag races in before you run out though?
Any further range and you’d be in danger of coming across a bend, then you’d have to walk the bike around in a u-turn and go home.
I know someone that’s got a mid 80’s original that has been under a tarpaulin in his garage for at least 15 years. I keep asking him to sell it to me and he keeps saying no.
Loving the RS250!

I was thinking about that before... back then 1 of those panniers was pretty much filled with my medication for my haemophilia... 20ml per day, everyday for 2 weeks, plus some spares just in case...
26 years later, I now require 0.7ml once a week... that’s medical progress for you.
They were great times though, no satnav, no mobile phone. Just the wife on the back with a map, tapping me on the shoulder when we needed to take a new road..
I used to have a map on my tank bag. Navigated most of France and parts of Switzerland sans Sat Nav. Then again the roads were arrow straight, hardly any junctions.
Did a very similar route on my GS two years ago relied 100% on the Garmin. One of the biggest benefits was the way Garmin shows the speed limits as the Gendarmerie were out with their hair dryers
Steve
Loved those days, spending an evening over a map and writing directions to put in the tank bag clear pocket for the next day
Here’s a photo of a photo when my wife and I got stuck in a blizzard near Lake Tahoe, we left about an hour after this photo to beat another storm. All the locals where beeping and waving as it was so weird to see a bike on the road!
That’s the one.
Used it a lot up until a couple of years ago. Not for fuel. ;0)
The old owner came flying out of his home, just behind the pumps. I thought he was going to have a heart attack.
Think he thought I was going to take them away.
I calmed him down.
But not returned since.
I live nearby.

Pics of my bikes over the years, except my first which was a Yamaha Fazer 600s.
2nd bike - Yamaha R6
3rd bike - 2003 CBR 600rr. Needed to be down geared, but a wonderful handling bike. Sold it to a mate who turned it into a track bike & crashed it several times.
4rd bike - GSXR 750 K4 - This pic was on the day I'd collected it & the above mentioned mate was coming over to collect the 600rr. I did loads of miles on the K4 & eventually sold it to the same mate who gave it the same treatment as the 600rr.
5th bike - GSXR 750 K7 - I wrote this one off after about 11 months. My fault.
6th bike - GSXR 750 K8 - Love this bike & still have it, although it looks a bit different now
This is the K8 just after I was punted off at Donington Park on 2010. Broken tib & fib & 2 months off work - what a PITA?
Thankfully most of the damage was cosmetic, but in 2014 I put into a gravel trap at Brands GP & after that I converted it to track spec as below
7th bike - Newly out at the time BMW S1000r. The Jizz Machine, loaded up for a weekend away.
8th & current bike - The absolute missile that is my 2015 S1000rr.
I also did a load of mikes on this 250cc single cylinder Honda XR in 2018 with my eldest son when we toured Vietnam - amazing trip
The chain broke at one point, but we got it fixed quite quickly - just very lucky it happened where it did.

Enoch, once you’ve used a QS you wont want to go back. Be warned, life wont be the same after one. Just make sure its set up correctly or they can be an absolute nightmare. What about the Termis for the X ?

There is an auto blip option, but I’m not sure if it’s listed for the duke... I need to speak to them, but it looks like they have a system that works with bikes with fly by wire, which the Ducati is...it’s quite an expensive add on though, so I’ll just go for the up change for now, and maybe add it later..
The blurb says you have to have the QS anyway, and the autoblip piggy backs off that..
Stuart, I really don’t like the termi, it sits to low, and isn’t even level, it’s lower on the left to miss the belt.. it’s also damn expensive..
That Benetton colours CBR600, I had the same!
I loved that bike until some scrote nicked it :(
I used to get the pi55 taken out of me because of the pink colour, but it was light hearted because they all knew it a serious bit of kit (at the time).
Funnily enough the insurance company paid out more than I bought it for and I replaced it with a brand new '96 ZX6R that I owned until 2007 when I bought the Street Triple that I own to this day.
