^^^ Nice!
Well my new bike came home during the week as well. Probably not to everyone's tastes as the fashion these days seems to be blacked out bikes but i personally like to ride bikes that are easily visible on the road. It's everything i knew it would be, a nice slow relaxed ride, perfect riding position for me and handles ok (although the shocks and springs will be replaced over winter). Sounds lovely and throaty too.
Moto-Guzzi V9 Roamer.
H cafe seems popular with Londoners as well, personally I head towards the Cotswolds and Wales more often.
[QUOTE=learningtofly;4910653]Couldn’t resist it. I did try.
Not long back from a good blast on my beast
Remarcably warm for the time of year.

Bloody hell - is that a 125 or are you really 6`8" plus?
I feel for you `larger gents` - motorcycles these days can be so small.....
I like to sit `in` a motorcycle rather than `on` it - i often have a tank bag fitted just to emulate the feeling of `getting in/on`!
You need something built by the legendary custom bike builder Twizzle - he was a large chap and built some fantastically outrageous bikes of equally generous proportions..
It’s an 850cc but the seat is quite low. The riding position makes up for it though and it really doesn’t feel like a small bike when you ride it, the shape of the tank helps as well as your legs tuck up underneath the scallop.
I tried quite a few bikes of all makes and sizes before going for this, the only other one that felt as comfortable for me was the vstrom. Most bikes the riding position was either too far forward or too far back. This was my Goldilocks bike
Bought this last year......still gives me a rush if I open it up, half elation, half fear
That CB1000R is a lovely looking bike, how have you found it? Love the arrow exhaust as well rather than the monstrosity that comes as standard.
Looks much better. Reflectors in the bin next.
It's a lovely looking bike. I only wish I had the funds to go buy one. Had my licence 3 months now and still haven't got a bike.
Thanks, but I'm already thinking of a second bike as I love the classic look.
Where did you get your new plate from?

The ST looks great, Tony. I'm still in two minds about my bike, and will probably delay until I've got through the tests. Have to say though, the Street Scrambler is definitely on my very short list.
^^^ I must admit, the exhaust is a small concern, although I can't imagine it's a massive issue. I also think the 1200 may be a bit OTT for a first bike. The 2019 900cc would be plenty, I feel.
At the other extreme, I'm still very keen on the F750GS, so as you can see, I haven't really nailed down what I'm after!
Congratulations on a successful pass and many years HaPpY motorcycling to be had

Thank you.
Early days, but loving it thus far.
Very easy to ride, comfy, smooth and fast.
All good up to now. Have dropped almost 6kg by shedding excess weight. (rear mudguard, exhaust, mirrors etc)
Had an Aprilia Tuono before. Superb bike, but a very single minded machine.
Always worked better when being really spanked, felt awkward when ridden 'sensibly'.
A real licence loser.
Lovely bike, there is a real resurgence in Guzzies as in many ways their laid back delivery suits what modern bikers are after. The Mendelo de Lario factory has become a real destination for european trips for the Guzzi Fans
Suspension wise you could do worse than talking to John or Nick at Revs Suspension http://www.revsracing.co.uk
They are main agents for Wilbers. Its only a two man operation, but they both really know their stuff. The ride in ride out service the offered me for progressive front springs and remote pre load rear transformed the ride on my F650 GS. Whats more they collect all your data weight, luggage pillion weights etc, so the suspension becomes “sized” for you and your riding preferences.
