Leaving now
Exactly this. It is the one thing I miss since moving my Tiger 800 on for my T120 in our typical variable weather! Not so much fun in the wind and rain on a naked with no rear mudguard vs the screen, heated seat and all the other weather beating goodies that come with a Tiger!
Fish and Chips looks a bit posh to me.
As an aside I had what I believe to be the best fish and chips of my whole life at The Pilot in Dungeness last weekend.
Incredible landscape too (unsettlingly bleak but beautiful.) Worth a road trip!
It looks posh but it also looks properly tasty! Great day out by all accounts Tony. Looking forward to the TZ Adventure ride out!

Looks a great day out, it was a bit drizzly when we were out yesterday.
No ice cream or fish and chips either!
I also picked up a new bike at the weekend
Out went the KTM and in comes the Diavel!
I've done about 150 miles on it now. I'm impressed by the agility of the bike once its up to speed. Low speed manoeuvrability isn't great with that 240 rear tire and 235kg mass.
That said, I love the riding position and the wide bars that really suit the character of the bike as you can really leverage their width to countersteer effectively.
Torque is very good and I just love the looks of the bike. Stock can is also impressively loud. This is the first bike I've had with riding modes and I like the fact you can tune down the power TC and throttle response to make it more tractable in town.
All in all very happy I made the swap and Premier Bikes in Abingdon were great to deal with.

So exciting.
Grandad still out on the bike, his eyesights not great so only a pillion now but doing well for 93
Nice, hope you enjoy it It's curious how many of us have got or are considering new bikes given it's the end of summer!
I took the Blade out tonight to see how good the lights are, and found a fault! The speedo bulb has gone which wasn't ideal! Apparently it's something slightly weird so had to pay a fiver for a new one, the robbing ????ards! On the plus side the headlights are really good so happy.
What I find strange about this bike is how I find myself immediately at home on it, more so than on the Speed Twin after owning it a year, albeit not riding it much. I wonder if it's because it's not a million miles away in terms of riding position from the CBR600 that was my first proper big bike that I did a lot of miles on until some scrote nicked it :(. But then that was over 25 years ago!
^^^ nice one, fish 'n chips always seem to taste better at the seaside!
Any pics of the new steed Tony?

Anyone near Cheshunt? Looking at a bike on ebay but currently in France. Hoping someone could look before I bid and pay and collect when I get back in 3 or four weeks time?
Blimey, how nice are CCM bikes, absolutely gorgeous…

Tomato ketchup on chips???
More of a salad cream bloke myself....
Anybody going to the MCN Festival in Peterborough this weekend?
I assume it’s still on, although since nobody’s mentioned it here I wonder if it’s been called off and I haven’t heard..!
I hope you mean mayonnaise, rather than salad cream? I normally go for both, but was constrained in my choices on this occasion.
Anyway, in other news I now have 400 miles on the Tiger, and need another 150-200 by the time of its scheduled oil & filter service next Saturday. I had assumed the Brighton trip would get me there, but I've had to knock that on the head for personal/family reasons.
Well, I managed to grab a few shots on my phone today...
Some other things I've noticed over the 450 miles I've put on the clock:
- It's quite top heavy compared to the other bikes I've owned. This can cause precarious moments, such as when you don't quite notice that there's a slight negative camber where you're trying to put your foot down.
- The 19" front wheel becomes noticeable at slow speed on tight bends or turns. The bike needs more input.
- Although it may sound strange, the Tiger seems very, very happy to be leaning. It's almost like leaning is it's preferred MO, and it's very reassuring.
- Things that made my heart beat faster when on my TTR are just business as usual for this bike. Nothing seems to faze it.
- Triumph's triple engines are bloody fantastic. I knew that from my Street Triple, but it's lovely to be on another one.
Oh, and the standard seat is now on the bike. Given that the new seat is all but unusable (there's just a void where the padding has been removed), I'm going to see if I can get some kind of refund on it.
Helstons Tracker... best jacket ever!?
That is a lovely looking bike Tony. I hope you find the right seat.
I once had KTM Superduke R 990 and loved the bike, but the. Seat was like a plank after 30 mins. I found a great guy that put some extra padding and re design and never looked back.
Well, every bike is very happy to lean over. Just park it up and walk away without putting the sidestand down to confirm this :-)
Nice gaff by the way. Do you need many staff to keep everything ticking over?
Lovely bike! I’ve got a 2017 Speed Triple and the engine is fabulous for a road bike.
It’s annoying that these companies think it’s ok to reduce a seat height by removing the stuff that actually makes a seat useable.
Do you have the preload set as low as possible - at least until you get comfortable with the seat height?
