I have a Dainese Horizon textile/mesh weave jacket for the hottest days. It allows a lot of wind to blow through the material and apparently very abrasion resistant. I really like it and it has lasted a few years, still looking like new.

Sadly I think it is discontinued but I’m sure the material is still used in other jackets. This looks similar

Fantastic 250miles circling from Windsor to Surrey, Hampshire, and all around the south downs ftom Newlands Corner to Loomies. Windy and cool, but the sun came out nicely to warm things up (slightly).

I have the Klim Marrakech which is brilliant in the 20-33c range. Wore it this summer for a Euro tour down through Italy, Romania, Serbia, Montenegro and Croatia where it averaged between 25-35C. Wear a cool vest for higher temps and it still works. It is made from heavier weight cordura (with an effective DWR finish) compared to the Rukka Forsair to provide more structure, but I think it is more versatile for UK climes because the Forsair can otherwise be too cool/breezy. The Klim wears as comfortably as a softshell jacket, and the matching trousers are brilliant too. By far the most comfortable and perhaps versatile suit I have ever had. Highly recommended.

Another good day out on the RS today. Met some of my Ducati mates at Bala, and saw Cols new V4 Streetfighter. The other couple of lads were on their Multistradas. I was hoping to see Enoch there, and his new Red Rocket, as thats where I usually bump into him, but alas no joy.
We flirted into Barmouth and stopped for a quick coffee and stretch. From there we headed to Betwys over the hills on the A470, one of the most sublime pieces of biker tarmac imo. Myself and Col had agreed to stop for a brew there in the bike stop, and the lads on the Multis would carry on straight through home. The V4 sounds absolutely wicked with the optional £4.5k worth of Akrapovic kit on it, especially changing up on the shifter. Anyway, had a coffee on the platform and came out. My eye was immediately caught by the most intimidating looking warp factor machine I have ever seen. It had a reg plate I recognised, and sure enough there was Enoch out with his crew, I knew one of the lads from a couple of weeks back. WOW that bike is something else. We chatted for a while about this and that then Col and myself headed home.
A really good day out, but even though it was very sunny, there's deffo an Autumnal chill in the air. There wont be many more weekends out for me as I'm absolutely in the fair and warm weather riding category.

i dont own a leather jacket these days, my 2 summer jackets are my autumn and winter jackets with the liner taken out, with textile jackets there really no need to be buying multiples for different seasons these days.
I have a Knox Urbane Pro Shirt. Abrasion-proof mesh and tight fitting enough not to slip about.
I wear it with D3O Ghost armour and a t-short over the top and it’s extremely comfortable. I flatter myself
That it doesn’t look too bad either.

I see that they also now have a Utility version with Moar Pocketz, which looks good.

That’s a great jacket Kerry, but I fear I don’t have the lats to carry it off like you do ;)
Andrew its a small world , about two weeks ago we were parked next to that MV800 with the white rear wheel. He was at A & D ‘s in Denbigh and on chatting to him he said he was struggling to get it serviced locally.
Between the Mustang and the Rocket you must have cornered the market in attention grabbing vehicles.

Hi Steve.
Probably a different MV. This one belongs to the lady In leathers sat on my triumph. 😎
Great weekend of riding down in Devon and Dartmoor.
Echoing a few comments made earlier, this will be the last big ride for the ktm this year. I have previously made a concerted effort to ride during winter (including a track day in February during storm Dennis) but I am not risking it this year unless this Indian Summer continues a lot longer. Mainly because I like to ride hard and my KTM has no driver aids - a dry and warm road is important to get the best out of it.
My mate was on an MT10SP and we were well matched, albeit the KTM able to glide through the turns with more grace than the super naked.
All in all done 1300 miles of riding this year which I'm happy with considering the fact that I didn't touch the bike for 3 months from March to June

Great video Tony ! Very familiar roads there, Luton Hoo as well, lovely hotel. Lovely bike too of course.
I had a couple of rides over the weekend, Sat out to Great Missenden (Hey Kids....no didn't bump into Andy out there) for an appointment. Then a group social ride on Sunday up to the Super Sausage Cafe.....great cafe but a bit 'spirited' by the sportsbike owners in the group down country lanes. Is it me or is 80MPH more than sufficient down quite country roads? Maybe I just ride like a granny....I'm in no rush.
But like you following that weekend I now have a set of Triumph heated grips winging there way to me, going to have a go a fitting them myself as it doesn't look to tricky.
I'll drop you a note to see if we can catch up in a couple of weekend's time for a ride.
Good video tony.
You should have a play with 360 as well.
I made this the day before lockdown

I've just taken delivery ok a BikeTek paddock stand - meant to be a decent one, too. The instructions indicated that the leg marked "R" had to be fitted to the side of the stand similarly marked but - when it was fully assembled - the right leg is about 1-1.5" longer than the left leg.
The photo below isn't the result of angles or optical illusions, it actually is that much longer.
Given the instructions and stand markings I’m wondering if this can possibly be intended - perhaps to ease the bike onto the side of the sidestand when you remove the paddock stand. Has anyone ever seen it before though, as I’m a bit worried about using it?
The legs should be the same length. I’d say you have a twist in it. Loosen the bolts and start again would be my advice
The legs are the same length and are not handed, the holes where the bolts go through are much bigger than the bolts.
All that’s wrong here is a bit of a twist in the frame. If Tony loosens the bolts, he should be able to remove the twist and then re tighten.

Yes, it's actually deformed - I laid it flat and, when the wheels on the left are on the ground, the ones on the right are a good inch off it. Faulty, so it'll have to go back; annoying, because I previously had an Oxford stand that was faulty as well.
Of anyone needs a paddock stand i have one i dont need in garage

Looks as though there is a slight twist in the bar going across the top in the photo. The measurement from where the spindle sits to the centre axle on the castors looks the same, so the height would be the same both sides with the weight of the bike on it.
Lay it flat as it would be used, put your foot on the left hand side in the photo and pull up on the right hand one but not too hard.
These things aren't precision engineered unfortunately.
Or send it back and try another.

I bought a pair of these at last year’s bike show.
They’re excellent for the money.

466 miles already, you must be loving it. Im hoping after the first service you can explore the upper parts of the rev range and really stretch its legs. Ive noticed today the farmers are moving a lot of muck spreading gear about, so everyone take care on those country lanes.
Yep 265 miles today, much of it in the wet. With the amount of torque available I thought it prudent To switch from my usual sport mode, into wet mode.
Whoever came up with the wet strategy at Triumph, knows a thing or 2. It was so easy to ride. Lovely soft power delivery and completely unobtrusive TC👍
The front one isn’t very high off the ground but they’re both up in the air.
There are a number of brands that would seriously disagree with you here, Tony. Starting with HD and Royal Enfield
But then we have the same thing in the watch world.
