I currently use Microsoft 365 Family for my small business, but am looking to move to M365 Business Standard, primarily to gain the use of Exchange, in lieu of the current imap email setup I use for my own domain address.
I also understand this will help integration of calendars/Teams meetings better, which is currently very clunky.
I do not intend to maintain both (Family and Business) licences, so the Family subscription will expire after a 3 month overlap.
Has anyone done this migration themselves?
If so, is it fraught with pitfalls and countless lost emails, diary appointments etc, or was it a smooth and simple ride?
I have heard that there are a number of difference's between OneDrive (personal) and OneDrive for Business, is this something I need to be concerned about?
Any advice is appreciated and gratefully received.

Can't offer you an answer unfortunately but I will watch the threads. I wrapped my business up in 2022 and had an annual subscription with 365. My new job gave me 1tb access to 365 and I also get the same with the OU. So after chatting to Microsoft regarding my business one drive and migrating to my new subscription I cancelled the business one.
Nightmare, ended up reactivating it as I lost access to everything.

Same here. Combination of backups local, offline and in the cloud.
Sounds like I might be better to just stick with the status quo!
My experience as a owner manager of a small business is these things are always a PITA but ultimately worth it ... take the pain for the long term improvements ...
I will watch with interest. I have a friend bracing herself because she’s asked the exact same questions for the exact same reasons.
