You can't go wrong with a Seiko 5
Was at a local mall here in Doha this afternoon and spotted an SRPB25J1, and had a closer look. It was interesting! Nice splash of colour, the second crown at 2 operating the bidirectional friction internal bezel. Not a screw-down between the crowns, of course, but then it was a Seiko 5.
Quite handsome and fun, I thought. 42mm diameter, but what can you do?

Nice
Seiko 5's are excellent value.

Appears to be around £189 in the U.K.

Nice one. The lack of screw-downs wouldn't put me off diving with that.

£118 in Singapore. No idea what the taxes would come in at though.

I hate the alpinist 3:4 as well.

I picked up the rose gold/ coke version secondhand on a different forum, and put it on a thick leather strap- looks great! Even the wife likes it...
Really nice! As always looks 100 times better in the flesh than Seikos own shots.

Very nice indeed. And excellent value for money.

Go on - educate me.
2-4?
2-3?
3-4?
It's where the crowns are. On the Seiko I posted they're at 2 and 3 o'clock. Some find this unbalanced.
Thanks Wol. Obvious when explained.
I agree that 2-4 looks way better.
Anyone know where you can buy the brown/coke version in the UK? Can’t seem to find one anywhere
