    The Newmark 6BB Chronograph Re-Edition

I much prefer the RAF strap to a NATO,but unexpectedly, it’s the rather excellent cordura strap that it’s currently on.

No 126 has just arrived. Yes I expected the cordura to be the one of the three (grey and tan leather) I would like the least but that is the one it is on at the moment. Really like it and it is great value! Thanks Ewan.

No 13 landed and I have to say, it's stunning. Despite best efforts I don't think that anyone has managed to really do it justice in their photos. Dial, hands, case and straps all exceed expectations, even after reading this thread.

And the turbine is a nice personal legacy piece.

Congratulations Ewan. It's superb, and my colleagues are very envious!

    Looks perfect for me!
Great combination, what strap is it and where from?

In terms of the basic package, I’ve tried several strap combinations with the Newmark, including a leather NATO, two-piece leather, regular NATO’s and have concluded that the basic grey RAF strap it comes with suits it the best.

However, a grey Eulit perlon comes in at a very close 2nd for me. Like the RAF strap, it’s very comfortable and will make a nice alternative for the summer months.

Does anyone know if Ewan will be selling the Cordura strap as an accessory?

That looks very much like the Timefactors Two Piece Nylon in coyote brown - I like the look of that and I'd order it right now for mine if Eddie wasn't closed to ordering until Tuesday next week

No 300, first time I've been able to get to the depot. What a fine watch, lovely precise detailing, and gorgeous curved acrylic. Straight on the leather which is equally fine. Well done Ewan.

The Off-White does look really nice - and I hope you produce it.

To be honest though, when I can order one, I'll be ordering the Black Dial - mainly because I think the numbers will be easier to read by 'glancing at' plus it's more historical.

    :-)

Got mine today - delighted with it.

Thanks to Ewan for bringing such a great watch back 👍

  23. #223
I've had mine 2 weeks now & it still raises a grin when I look at it. It's a really lovely thing.
Good size too, just slides under a cuff nicely but still feels substantial.
I look forward to the next Newmark.

    Yes!

Yup, just got one. I was going to sign up for the kickstarter, but when it happened I could not commit. I know it is now a bit more, but as observed by Ewan on the Facebook page, he is actually going to start making a profit on them! And it comes with two straps, of which I'm growing too liking the khaki cordura more and more.

Or maybe a NATO Bond... or a mesh... or?

It’s a lovely watch. The attention to detail is very good, especially the radial brushing on the case which I’ve tried to highlight in the last photo.

    Thank you Ewan!

    Really pleased with my 6BB

I managed to scratch the glass- fixed in 5 mins with Polywatch! Back to spec, shows the practicality of a plexi as well as the ‘warm’ image it gives

  38. #238
Quick update its a bit smaller than most of My watches but is soooo very comfortable and everytime I glance at My wrist it reminds Me of Pat Lander,"Gilani don't pull the power back watch your Airspeed, that's it",oh My how I miss those days the other thing that has impressed Me is the Lume which is brilliant all in all Ewan and Eddie(For the Aerotimer)You guys rock.

#059 arrived in Rome, Italy today! I ordered in Friday afternoon and it arrived this morning!
Amazing service and the watch is truly very very nice. I prefer it over the CWC re-issue I had and sold previously!
    Great job Ewan!

    Thanks !

    Hi all

Lots of really positive stuff about the 6BB on this thread which makes it all worthwhile - thank you!

We're down to less than a handful now which I guess is a good sign!

Once again, many thanks to you all :-)

    Cheers

Was watching an old war film last night (they who dare) and when they synchronised watches, they were all Newmark's! Made me smile and think of my new watch and then this thread so I could post this drivel which I found interesting but everyone else will think is boring :)

Putting in a shameless plug for the current charity raffle with a Newmark 6BB amongst the prizes, here:

    https://forum.tz-uk.com/showthread.p...Straps-G-Shock!

I know that half the forum already have one of these fantastic reissues, but you’ll have no problems moving it on or it would make a great gift!

A nice way to support a pair of very worthy organisations, and there's also a cracking Newmark 71 Sports and a bunch of other great prizes.

I love my 6BB and today I was sorting out a few old straps and bracelets. I came across a Zuludiver Anvil bracelet that I’ve had for ages and has actually been on SC a few times without a bite. These are top quality with a selling price of I think £88 before they went down to £28 in the sale.

Out of interest I married the two and they actually fit like they were engineered to! I think it’s escalated the Newmark into a whole other bracket of watch. A serendipitous event I’m
    sure you’ll agree.

Sorry 6BB owners but I think I have the best one around ;)
