    Things to do in Pembrokeshire

    Afternoon all

The wife and I have booked a couple of days away in Pembrokeshire in August - we've never been before, any ideas on the best things to see/do, places to eat etc etc?

We're not into extreme sports type activities, just leisurely summer type stuff!

    Ta awfully

    Andy

    Get lost.

Seriously though, its one of those few wonderful places where you can still wander off the beaten track and find a relatively untouched landscape.

Also there's a bit of surfing and kayaking to be done in some of the bays if that's your sort of thing.

Worked down that way for a while. Plenty of good coastal walks and country pubs. Take a trip to Tenby, I found the place nice.

Didn't really make the most of it and would love to go back at some point!

Tenby is lovely, try Ocean Restaurant or The Salt Cellar for good grub.

Just make sure you get to Tenby. Eat Welsh cakes and drink Brains beer and all will be good in life.

    Tenby

If you manage to go to Tenby make sure you go to south beach, sandunes and a great walk down the beach.

Lovely spot Tenby. Might be enjoyable to take the boat trip out to the Monastery on Caldey Island.
    Those monks make lovely chocolate👍.

    Cheers

I haven't been there for about 15-20 years, but I seem to remember that Solva and the St Davids Head coastal areas were very pretty.

For me the area is primarily about coastal walks and getting away from it all. Get your walking boots on and get out on the coastal path.

St Davids cathedral is worth a look if you like old buildings. It is tucked away down in a valley, which is quite unusual!

    Solva
    St Davids
Little Haven are all worth a visit.

Haverford West, Tenby and Fishguard are all dives and best avoided.

If you are driving, get yourself on the coastal roads, they are stunning!

If you are a petrolhead get over to Pendine Sands
Lots of castles in that area that aere also worth a visit, especially Pembroke and Carew
