Vintage Longines ID anyone please ?

    Evening all,

I caught up with a pal of mine I hadn't seen in quite a while earlier today and amongst other things he asked me if I knew anything about his watch.
    It's a mechanical from I'd guess, late 60's/early 70's.

Can any of the semi vintage enthusiasts cast en eye over it and help me with any info I could pass him ?

    Thanks in advance

Longines keep very detailed records and are happy to provide information on individual watches (for free as far as I know). Send them the reference number and movement number and they will tell you the year of production, the model and where it was supplied - usually the importer or country agent and any other info they have in their archives.

You can use the 'contact us' form on their website.

^^^Thank you Simon, I'd consider that but I won't be seeing the watch again any time soon and all I had was a phone snap.

    Cheers

OK, in that case I'd say it is an early seventies Conquest or Admiral (Longines used that case shape with different models) with what looks like a repainted dial.
