Unless the ‘buyer’ is a friend of the seller and bids to get the ball rolling as it were. Pretty common on eBay I believe.
I thought I'd see if there were many Belstaff jackets for sale on eBay. Fair few and a fair few fakes too.
This one caught my eye as it had a bid on it. Always bothers me that a buyer is going to be ripped off.

I've no idea about these jackets or how to tell if they're fake but if you can give me some insight I'll report it to eBay.
I also hate to see people getting ripped off with fakes.
Firstly all modern bellstaff leather jackets have tartan lining. Happy to be corrected if I'm wrong.
Secondly they didn't make a jacket called the riding jacket (this looks like a copy of the standard).
Thirdly tags are fake and dust cover are wrong
Lastly the only place that sells that jacket is a site that sells fake belstaff jackets.

tbh, Belstaff jackets are pretty poor when compared to the original.
The original Belstaff was a fairly tough product, todays stuff is passable I suppose.
Just.
There are way better options avaiable for those that can live without a pointless label.
I cringe when I see people wearing this overpriced tat.
Reported, hopefully will be taken off eBay.
I'm guessing that you don't wear rolex, omega etc. Unless you think that you are really paying several thousands of pounds for build quality. It's the brand your buying no different to any luxury good.

I have but they don't seem to care unless a few do.
I have that jacket. I can’t remember what it’s called though. I’d have to have a look at the label on the dust bag. Bought from a reputable seller two years ago. It has a plain lining. That website looks dodgy though.
The panthers have a tartan lining.

He’s right about the Belstaff, however as much as I am no fan of Rolex I would never mention them in the same breath as a modern Belstaff.
