Blimey, I know a lad who has one of these in his safe unworn, he wears a Certina Dive Watch as a daily wearer and the Rolex was a family gift.

It was only a few years ago we were talking about it wondering what it's value was.

    I'm speechless!

How would the "Hulk" compare to the "Kermit" in the near to far furure? Will it be as desirable? More? Or less?

I would only pay the higher prices for a Y serial. I sold mine years ago, along with around 20 F serials in total :(

It is a mad world indeed, fueled by hype and hysteria. I've witnessed similar in hifi circles - anybody familiar with the very basic, but capable Naim Nait 1 ?

Sorry what do you mean? I’m simply asking if the guy has any left in his collection.

It's a strange one for me in that it looks great on its own but I was surprised to find it impossible to wear without it sticking out like a sore thumb. Maybe that's why people like it, it's why I didn't. Maybe if I was Robin Hood or taller with a liking for sweetcorn things would have been different.

I wear mine all day everyday. Will be passed down to my son. This watch will always be worth more to me that a £ sign.

I have a couple of earlier non-engraved LV’s left - I occasionally wear one of them that I’ve put a black bezel on. I love the maxi dial/hands and older case/bracelet. I’d have loved a maxi dial non-date 14060, shame Rolex never made one - but that’s another reason the LV’s will continue to demand a large premium over the standard Subs
It's just a matter of time...
