Found a vintage Seiko - can anyone help identify it please?

I've just seen this Seiko in a local vintage shop for 45 pounds.

Can anyone identify the model and advise whether it's worth a punt?

It seems to be running but will obviously need a service and a new crystal fitted. Thanks all!

6602-8040 is the movement number first 4 digits, case type number other 4

Serial number is engraved at the bottom. First digit is year in decade it was made, 2nd is month.

Yours is handwind 6602 movement with date, which is evolution of handwind 66 caliber.

As far as I could see the serial it is from 60ies.

EDIT : May of 68, Suwa factory, Japan.

    Nice classic watch.

This site is not perfect (I think they miss my Seiko 7009 by a decade), but can probably help.

    What's the case diameter 37mm?

I also brought a little one recently and have to say that Seiko do have some good designs decades ago.
