On our patio we have several planters and pots, one of which has Lava Rock on the surface to keep weeds away.
Recently, most mornings when we get up, pieces of Lava Rock have been lifted out of the pot. Some of these pieces have been left within a foot or two of the pot, others two or three yards away. There is no disturbance to either the plant or the soil in the pot, indeed most of the Lava Rock is still in it.
This morning, not only had Lava Rock been removed again, the centre boss around the umberella hole in the patio table, (a compression fit), had been removed and placed further over on the table top. Not only that, whatever is visiting us in the night/early hours of the morning had placed a pebble on the glass coffee table at the bottom of the garden; and there are no pebbles anywhere near there! In fact, there are no pebbles of that size, (a little smaller than a golf ball), in the garden at all.
Six foot fence and locked gates all around, so not someone playing a practical joke.
A bird of some sort? But why?

I'd hate to be with you when you're on your own.

I'd get a cheap night vision motion sensing webcam like this.
When you find out the perpetrator post some footage on here. Unless it's the local tramp urinating into your shrubbery!
