So I have a new addition - a six week old kitten
She has to stay in and as I work from home quite a bit it’s ok
However - as her litter tray is in the house - I came back today to over 20 flies in the lounge window
I know they can smell poop from over three miles away but how the hell are they getting in etc and how so many?
They are the vile green bodied ones
I blasted them with fly spray - but the prevention is my need
Should I buy an enclosed tray? Or should I try fly traps?
She’ll be allowed out in a week or two

Use the odour eating crystals, you won't get flies.
You need to clean the litter tray as soon as you are aware she’s used it.
Had x2 house cats in our house for nearly 20 years who use the litter tray multiple times a day and never had issues with flies.
I’ve found that the flies had laid larva on the windowsill!
Disgusting creatures
All cleaned away
I’m going to make the fly trap thingy
thoroughly check everywhere in the house, not just the litter tray especially with a kitten.
