Hi TZers
Anyone own or have any experience with the Longines Conquest GMT? I bought one online from Jura and I’ve found that the movement makes one hell of a racket. The slightest move of my wrist and it will crunch and creak. Is this normal? I’ve never had this with any other automatic.

Its essentially a modified 7750. known for noisy rotor and wobble.
Same here. Can be heard from the opposite end of a room with ease. Nicknamed 'shouty' by the wife.

It’s noisy, used to own one!
I love the sound - it makes the watch feel alive and reminds one of the amazing mechanical stuff happening inside the case!
Love a 7750 wobble, feels alive!!

I have two watches with modified Valjoux 7750 movements - a Breitling Navitimer World and an Offshore Professional Field Engineer. Both exhibit the famous ‘wobble’, although it’s far more noticeable in the Navitimer.
I love it, though - as has been said here, it somehow makes the watch feel alive...
It’s certainly nothing to worry about.

Thanks all for the replies. Was considering sending back. But if it's normal, I guess I'll just get used to it
So … definitely don’t wear one of these during quiet seduction times. No woman wants you to run your hands through her hair with a creaky, crunchy, grinding watch on your wrist. :D
Can anyone explain why Longines modified a chronograph movement for a GMT watch with no chronograph?
