I was running out of space in my very old watch storage box, it held 12 so bought this Aevitas, which holds 20. Cost was about £150 and the quality is okay.

Inside the cavity where the bottom drawer sits, it has rough finish of ply or mdf - you cannot see it but I know it's there.
Nahh! some form of plastic possibly.
But the overall effect is very good and it does look very smart.
Box looks good, as does the collection it's housing. Some nice watches in there!
My kerb-crawling patter has been honed over the years. Lol.
