    Black Bay red strap choice

Hi All - just got myself a Black Bay red for my birthday last week having looked at them for years, love it! I bought it on the leather as the rivetted bracelet does nothing for me.

I'm off on holidays soon, I know I've got the nato that came with it, but I tested in other strap options, thoughts?

    Black Bay red strap choice

Lovely, of the two photos I prefer the nato but neither really give a good enough view to make an informed decision. A nice colourful rubber strap may suit it?

If it's a touch of red you want then Haveston have a new strap out. Top quality (I have one of their straps) and their sliding keeper means no bulky tucking under.

If you don't like the current riveted bracelet see if you can pick one up without rivets for the previous ETA version . Pretty sure it will fit fine, don't think they
changed the case when they changed the movement.

How much do the non rivet bracelets go for in used condition - don’t think I’ve seen one for sale?

I thought the case with the in-house movement was made slightly thicker? Mind you, that might not necessarily change the lugs or lug-hole position.

Not sure, bought a Tudor strap for mine when I had it but it came with the bracelet, maybe call an
AD and ask if they can still supply one.

Only stuck this on while waiting for gmt to return but I think it’s given my BBR a new lease of life

That Haveston does look good actually! Also wonder how a sailcloth might work...

I usually take my CWC quartz diver when on holiday, along with several Natos. They are easy to change and can be washed after a day's wear so you get a fresh colour change every day.

I think it was just the case back that was changed.

Yeah, as far as I'm aware it is just the case back that was enlarged. I've got a BBN on a watchgecko leather nato:

Also to add I've always thought these look good (although quite expensive...!)

This one with the touch of red in it might go well with the red bezel:

Oh! I didn't realise they do one for the BB. I've got one on my Blumo which is great. Think you've just cost me $65. Just need to pick the colour now.

B&S straps worth every penny, I have one and love it. Very unpractical to have a leather strap on a diver thogh...

Thanks, I've ordered. I also didn't realise they were available from a UK seller. Much easier than waiting for it to ship from HK. Price difference isn't that significant given where GBP/USD is at the moment. I went for the same one with the red coloured reverse side.

Some great pictures here. The BB red is one of my favourites. I'm not wild about it on the bracelet, but I think the distressed leather looks terrific.

Almost identical watches but for some reason the red works with leather better and the blue with steel. Guess red and brown come from the same palette and blue silver the same. Makes sense now I’ve written it down lol.

Interesting! I'll have to go look at some blue BBs on steel now!

Thanks, the strap is new and yes it’s a Crafter Blue. Thanks to SiSetts for the recommendation.
