    Mars

    For those with a good view south, Mars is stunning at the moment. It is rising late (some time after 11 tonight) and staying pretty low. It is very bright and you can see the disc with the naked eye.

    Wish I could say been there done that = maybe Elon Musk.

    Its a cracking view even with a good set of field glasses.

    Not with my naked eyes :-( but last night we were travelling back over Dartmoor and noticing how vivid the colour was, we stopped to admire the planet with a small pair of binoculars. Quite beautiful.
