Thread: PVD (black) Seiko fat bars

    PVD (black) Seiko fat bars

Anyone know where to get some 22mm PVD spring bars for a Seiko Black Turtle?

Basically I'm worried that a normal spring bar will reflect sunlight if I take an artsy shot of my watch whilst on a sniper stakeout mission.

    Cheers

Well two things spring(!) to mind: PVD'd springbars will wear down to the metal in no time and if you can see the spring bar then you have the wrong strap on it.

Thanks, it's on a USM style NATO so you can see the bars from the back. I expect they will wear at the ends, or not be PVD'd on the springy parts, but otherwise I don't think the main barrel would wear away anytime soon?

Mate. You've got to be pretty ninja if you're worried about Charlie seeing the back of your springbars.
Good luck everybody. Have a good one.

(OK full disclosure, I want some spares so thought I might as well get black ones if available)

That white stitching is a dead giveaway. Do you have a death wish?

Most of it is covered with the strap but I’ll be posting a thread for a PVD case back soon

The Seiko Ninja has faded orange lume that’s quite tactical. Having said all this, I’m on a sniper mission at the moment and just realised my iPad might be giving me away. Brb... 4G in Russia isn’t great anyway
