    Cars near my work

I work in Mayfair, which can be a little crazy for car spotting - especially at this time of year. Here are a few from the last few weeks. I'll post more as I see tham

A nice run of Lambos! I think the watch equivalent would possibly be Richard Mille.

Wow, the owner must have been brave to park a £2m 288 GTO on a single yellow line and risk it being lifted by the parking enforcement!

    regards

They daren’t lift the expensive ones as they can be charged for any damages

You only needed to post the GTO, the rest is just filler.

    Very nice!

The best I've had at work was a 918:

Actually, Veyron was cool but rubbish pic from my window.

    Here's the front

Probably the second most special car I've seen; though I admit the one I'm more excited by. I occasionally see a 250 california. I also once saw a 212. Amongst the more modern stuff, I see a white Veyron loads and I once saw a P1

    GTO.

    Class.

Edit: only one prancing horse above that (for me) - 250 GT SWB. Or two, if you count the hot rod SEFAC.

Oh lordy. I think the phrase "nursing a semi" might be one I'm looking for.

Possibly the only thing to top it (and it's a close run thing) is this..

I'd like a white Testarossa with the one wing mirror. The better half said she wouldn't come out in it but I think it would be the Grey shoes I'd be wearing not the car.

I know that carpark. Is it Thames Ditton? I work with a business on the opposite side of that courtyard.

Yes I think there's a Vensons office in there somewhere.

Wow, same as mine, though mine is a 2004 plate, has only covered 44,000 miles and has sailed through most MOT's.

The Saab is a truly great car.

I went for a wander at lunch since the temperature is less oppressive today

Obviously not a supercar, but not exactly common - I think it was a 62

A particularly tasteless Saudi Bentayga (pretty common actually but the body kit is vom-inducing)

Chris Eubank Jr's awful Conti. His dad used to have this plate on a Mack truck

The only car there I like is the 288GTO. Everything else is mediocre in comparison.

Seen 2 of these at shows abroad, they are tiny but absolutely captivating, 288 a more usable second and I'd be quite happy to have one :-)

Not quite true, that was for sale by a certain well known super car dealer mentioned already in G&D

I keep returning to this thread in awe that someone is prepared to risk using a 288 as transport in London - I cant quite believe it. Does it make regular appearances or was that a one-off?

Only seen it once but I've seen a 250 GT California four or so times in the last year and half

So that’s why Fords couldn’t make the last McrGTG, he was busy comparing his Bentley to other ghastly cars

Ive had the pleasure of sitting in this car. Eric Clapton was the owner, before selling it to Ross Brawn. I’ve got a few pics somewhere, taken about 5 yrs ago. Can’t remember if it was worth 2 or 4 million.

I thought Ross Brawn’s 250 swb was blue and he paid £8m for it - suspect it’s worth somewhat more now

I believe the ex Clapton car now wears the plate 25 0
