I’ve had a couple of issued ones in the last couple of years. Great watches but I found I would always reach for the CWC RN diver instead. I might give a mk2 a try at some point.

Still regret selling my SBS. I’m hankering after another CWC but can’t decide on whether to go for another SBS or try a Royal Navy Diver. I quite fancy the all Matt version. Decisions decisions...

Is the mkii worth the premium over the mki?

I know about the sapphire and better bezel action (or is it just more clicks?)

Any other reasons to spend more?

    Cheers

Am considering an SBS but cannot decide between automatic and quartz.
Is there a specific reason that you chose quartz over automatic other than price?

Regret selling mine, and now too expensive to justify purchasing another. Still looks a cracking watch on a black NATO.

Quartz is the issued version, having been introduced around 1985 in the Diver version.

Hijacking the thread somewhat... What nato-straps do you like to wear your CWC watches on? Watchgecko has apparently stopped selling the ones I used to like, and the ones on the CWC website are the wrong size for my wrist, I get stuck between two holes. Any recommendations?

Put a hole in the right location with a hot needle?
Seriously I wear mine on Phoenix or CWC NATO’s both very good quality.
I find Phoenix’s hole placement completely random though.

I got 3 different colour straps with my CWC diver and none of them have the holes in exactly the same place.

Added a hole where I needed it without any trouble.

Thanks! Hm, seems reasonable to give CWC another shot then.
